I've had these strings on my bass for a while now, and I'm about to change to some Rotosound flatwounds. They're really good strings, and I've been happy with them, they just aren't my sound. I recommend them to any funky bass player, pop n' slap sounds great on them.
I have been using these for about 6 months, 1-4 times a week for about an hour each time, and my fingertips are torn up. After playing, my fingertips are on fire and have a layer or two of skin peeling off. I know I play hard, but this never happened with my Ernie Ball Slinky strings.
The GHS bass boomers are good strings, but I don't like to use my fingers while playing with these strings. The strings give of a nice sound, but they can hurt your fingers. Over all I say if you play with a bass pick these would be good strings for you.
