A whole new take on capo design that works beautifully.

The G7th Performance Guitar Capo is designed for enhanced performance and it's simple to use. Not only that, it looks and feels great! Push the lever to release the arms. The G7th Capo fits snugly behind the fret. Squeeze to tighten it from above or below. Simply press the lever to release the capo.

The wrap spring clutch consists of just 3 elements: a fixed hub, a moving hub, and a spring whose inside diameter is just slightly smaller than the outside diameter of the 2 hubs. When the spring is forced over the 2 hubs, attempting to rotate in the direction which opens the capo wraps it down tightly on the hubs, positively engaging them.

Rotation in the other direction, to tighten the G7th Capo onto the strings, is not restricted. To release the capo, the control tang is moved in the direction to unwind the spring, thus releasing the clutch.

The beauty of this type of clutch for use in a guitar capo is that it can be adjusted in tiny increments. The clutch mechanism is a modified tried-and-tested design used in printers and copiers to provide a simple decoupling and overrun device.

Worth the money

This capo is great, you can leave it on your guitar and it won't get out of tune! Yes it is a little on the heavy side but it honestly doesn't matter. The quick clipping action makes it easy to switch frets in a song, and I think it looks pretty sweet. The foam on it isn't too soft but it's also not too hard, which makes it even better! Overall the difference between this capo and other regular capos is worth the price difference.

gets the job done for begginers or pros

All I have to say is that this capo is the only capo that does not get your guitar out of tune. it releases of your your with a trigger and leaves your guitar tuned the wayy it is. Unlike kyser capos, this capo is small and doesnt interfere with your hands when playing. its truly an awesome capo. I haveowned mine for a couple of months now and this is the best thing ever. it works for electrics and acoustic pretty well. I recommend it for all players whether begginer or pro, plus, this was my first capo and I dont intend to change this.

Sometimes, you DO get what you pay for

Having played acoustic guitars for many years, I have gone through quite afew capos - including the well-known and highly regarded Schubbs. In my opinion, this (new) G7th line is a quantum "C" change in both quality and usability of guitar capos. It is easy to use, sturdily constructed and works perfectly on my Martin DH28. It IS expensive - but it is worth the money to have a top quality machine (built in England and warranteed for life) that enhances my range as a player.

Happy G7 capo user from Minnesota

This is a great capo! Easy on/off and no string distortion like on my other capos. A bit heavy (please make it out of Aluminum instead of Zinc). Looks really nice too. Every one who sees it wants one. Nice stocking stuffer for your guitarist buddies.
