The Fxpansion BFD Eco software percussion instrument gives you easy access to the some of the best sounds in the BFD2 library recorded at London's Air Studios. BFD Eco's sounds are full of dramatic levels of detail and mojo. Anything but sterile, BFD Eco is imbued with a musical character that sets it apart from the homogenized, flat sounds found in other virtual drum collections.

Included are over 40 presets that showcase BFD Eco's powerful, punchy-sounding mixing section. The EQ and dynamics/effect processing allow you to sculpt the raw sounds and lush stereo ambience for any situation. DCAM circuit-modeled compression, filtering, and drive provide hardware-style tone and grit, while Overloud's Reverb plate algorithm can be used for artificial reverb effects.

BFD Eco also contains a Groove section containing over 1,500 drum patterns to drag into your DAW, or to sequence on the built-in Drum Track. Preview patterns in sync with your project and use the humanization effects to adjust the feel to your needs. You can even export a stereo mix down from the Groove engine which is ideal for loops and breakbeats.

Other advanced features that set FXpansion BFD Eco apart are its customizable key mapping, electronic drum support, the ability to combine kit pieces from different expansion beat libraries, and an interface perfectly balanced between ease of use and powerful flexibility. Fxpansion BFD Eco also can be upgraded to BFD2”both are fully preset compatible for a seamless transition.

Fantastic Value!

Comments about Fxpansion BFD Eco Software Instrument:

This is an amazing product for the price. The samples are of extremely high quality and the software has thousands of options placed in relatively simple/logical places. I would say this is the definitive value-based drum plugin for DAWs that also works well as a standalone software product. It also turned my cheapy electronic kit into a oustanding virtual drum set through the USB connection. Though the website mentions a VST-RTAS converter, this software installs clean into Pro Tools M-Powered 7.4 without any converter.

I own a lot of drum programs-- This one is different!

Comments about Fxpansion BFD Eco Software Instrument:

I own Battery 3, Session Drummer 3 and a host of the Kontakt-powered Ocean Way and Sonic Reality kits (groupbuy). But I've still always found putting a full acoustic drum track to a song to be horribly time consuming and ultimately lack-luster. Which is why I keep buying drum programs. I've only had this a few days and already I can tell that this will be my go-to drum software from now on. The elements that set this VST apart for me are its humanizing functions: For example: The Dynamics Knob controls the overall velocity of all the samples being triggered. This means that you can sequence a series of grooves in your DAW and then ride (automate) the dynamics of the kit, just like a real drummer would. Priceless. The program also lets you mold the sound the way an engineer would, by moving mics closer and further away, damping a drum, tuning. Other things that I love: -Integrated midi groove sequencer -Internal channel strip (EQ, Compression, Gate, delay) -Built in OH and Room mics (very realistic) On top of that, the samples are some of the most warm and natural that I've heard. Definitely on par with the other high end manufacturers. Nice work BFD! PS I'm running Sonar PE 8.5 on Windows 7 64bit and haven't had any compatibility problems.
