  • Great for a DJ in the Dark

As reviewed by matt1 on 9/29/2006

I love using this gooseneck lamp for all of the DJ gigs that I do. While setting up and working a gig, it is at some times very hard to see in the dark. When something goes wrong, or when you just can't find the right CD, this lamp comes to the rescue. I've used it so many times and can't imagine how hard it would be without it.

The Furman gooseneck lamp cuts back on confusion from all the patch cords that run through any rack system. The Furman gooseneck lamp easily illuminates any rack system giving you a great visual of your gear so you're not searching for your flashlight when something needs changing or something is added. I didnt realize how much this thing helps out.

  • This lamp sucks!

As reviewed by Ryan on 11/19/2014

I bought this lamp to use with a PreSonus StudioLive 24:4:2 mixer in my very dark theater sound booth. It has the correct BNC connector. It does, in fact, light up. But it is so dim, it's barely worth turning on! In addition, the BNC connection is very unstable and it wobbles everywhere! Now, you might be thinking "those two problems are probably related." I thought that too, but the light remains dim even when manually held and pressed into the socket with all the frustration in my body. Is is Furman's fault? Is it the fault of PreSonus? Who knows? I just know that this lamp did not do an adequate job of lighting our area and it may be the reason why my FOH engineer forgot to mute the actress off stage and we heard her shout the F-word four times upon her exit.
