Took the plunge on this, have used it a lot over the past 3 months. Upgraded from a Dimebag CB-from-hell. This thing is the real deal, and is worth every penny. I'm taking the time to write this, generally don't have time but want others to hear about this if they're thinking of buying it. First, two comments I've seen in reviews elsewhere are as follows. 1. "It's great, but I wish it cost less." I don't understand the point of this comment. Do people fail to notice the price until after they've willingly bought the thing? My view is that there is no better value than this wah. Don't buy it and whine. 2. "All the "wah" sound occurs in the middle section of the treadle's arc of travel, so a large percentage of that travel is useless". I understand the basis for this comment, it hit me that way initially, too. I figured out quickly, though, that once you learn to move your foot less you not only have access to the same sonic "real estate" as you'd get on other wahs (this is the area in the middle of the travel arc) but you get subtle "tails" on either end that don't exist on other wahs I've used. This is, in the truest sense of the word, an "expression" pedal. You can learn to manipulate this space, and make it part of your sound. Work with it a bit and new possibilities open up. I stay in Jimi space on the wah, play through bridge pickup into various boxes and a Boogie, and get an articulate sound with lots of character, and it stays clear throughout its sonic range. No flubbing out at the lower freqs. I've never played through a Teese or a vintage McCoy, but I can't imagine a better wah than the Fulltone.

Great Products....ZERO Customer Service

President of Fulltone will not repair my pedal after owning it for less than 2 weeks. He refuses to view my video proof of the defect. Great pedals unless something goes wrong.

Comments about Fulltone Clyde Deluxe Wah Guitar Effects Pedal:

This is the best wah being sold today. Fulltone builds a hand-wound 500 mH inductor specifically for this wah. The result is a Wah that is great for everything from cleans to high gain tones. I've owned several wah pedals (Crybaby, Vox, and Morley) and they were fairly useless with high-gain pedals and pre-amps.
Not this one! It has a buffer specifically designed to maintain a great wah tone even on high-gain sounds.
The settings are easy to use after an hour of getting used to them.

Comments about Fulltone Clyde Deluxe Wah Guitar Effects Pedal:

For years I have avoided wah pedals because I couldn't find one that I liKed. I have had a few different Cry Babies ranging from 1978-2015 and never really like them for various reasons. I tried the Weeping Demon from Ibanez... terrible. I did enjoy my Snarling Dawgs Blues Bawler, but it broke and the company is now defunct. I finally decided to go for the Clyde. I got the deluxe as my BB had the 3 way selector on it and I enjoyed the feature. This pedal is FAR SUPERIOR to any other wah, great tone and feel. Excellent sweep. The button is actually responsive and doesn't stick (hasn't yet anyhow). Wish I bought one years ago. Would have saved a lot of money.

Comments about Fulltone Clyde Deluxe Wah Guitar Effects Pedal:

Lots of features for fine tuning. My biggest gripe is that it seems to roll over the top very quickly. I like that there is no loss of tone or volume either in bypass or while effect is on. It is very customizable and makes some great tones. It will take a little getting used to the quick sweep over the top but overall I am very satisfied. It's very well built and high quality. It picks up some noise which they say is common for wah pedals but my cry baby doesn't make noise in the same spot in the same place in my chain. But the cry baby tone suck, sucks. So I will keep the Fulltone and try to isolate and remove the noise. Some say grounding the inside helps. I may try that. My board could be adding to the problem because the power cables run all around my pedals

Fulltone Clyde Deluxe Wah - the is "the wah"

              By PAUL ANGLE

              from N Texas

Comments about Fulltone Clyde Deluxe Wah Guitar Effects Pedal:

I've had a lot of wahs over the years, never seemed to find one that really did the job on any sort of tone or use. Prefer the Vox type over the crybaby myself. Knowing Trower uses this one made me want to try it out. As with most wahs you need to get used to the throw and action of it. This one has a 3 position toggle for different wah voicings. The Jimi is an optimized Vox wah using Fuller's custom measured inductor, suburb. The Whack is a more low end wah voice and the Shaft is a brighter voiced wah for that whacka-whacka thing. I tend to like the Vox or the Whack setting myself. There is an adjustable pot inside to change the centering brighter or more bass. Fuller's ideal setting is marked. I cannot see changing this as the 3 modes cover the range of anything you might need. There is an input gain level control to push the inductor harder if you want. Unique to this wah and major sell to me is the switchable output buffer boost, only on with the switch and when the wah is active. This allows the wah to be bold and come through any degree of distortion or gain unlike most wahs which get thin and lose their tone level. And this is much better than a lot of mere boost circuits I have used, Fuller has worked some magic here. This is an amazing wah, extremely versatile and great sounding. Finally a wah I can keep. True bypass and transparent when off.

Comments about Fulltone Clyde Deluxe Wah Guitar Effects Pedal:

I have played guitar for 30+ years. And yes I know Trower uses this and Jimi Jimi bla bla. I have owned this and the standard. Numerous waw pedals being the Dime Crybaby,Original Crybaby, Vox waw with a fulltone upgrade kit,The Vox Big Bad waw (Satriani), the Steve Vai horsie waw and the old 70s Morley chrome cased waws that when the pilot light would go out it acted like a fuse and stopped working until you replaced the pilot light. Im not saying that the Clyde waw isn't decent or plenty of waw if thats what floats your boat. But after all these waw waw pedals I have owned, the very best waw I have come across and I use today is the Chicago Iron Tycobrathe (Blue) big fat ugly but beautiful in sound in every way Parachute waw waw. Like Toni Iommi uses and Hendrix also used back in the day too. It too is a 60s to 70s product made by hand and numbered in the USA. Fuller hasn't shown you that video of Hendrix using that? I paid right under $400.00 for one. You get what you pay for. What works for others works for others...I can only talk about my experiences. And the strongest signal and range, tone for a waw on the planet for me is that Tycobrathe Parachute waw regardless if your playing a humbucking set up or single coil tone. The good thing here is that musicians friend will support you. More than I can say for Fulltone. His customer support is very limited meaning your on your own from my experiences. I have purchased many pedals from Fulltone directly and they all worked without any failures ok... I have sold them all except for the red 69 fuzz and the Deja vibe 2. My Zakk Wylde BLS Chorus smoked his choral flange I had. Fulltone talks too much about the past which creates that psych effect on people to jump and buy it because it is exactly what the big boys used in the day , hand picked germanium transistors...was you there to see him hand pick it like Juan Valdez picking coffee beans or... don't buy lesser units with cheap parts made overseas. Though there is a place for that statement, he sells it pretty heavy. Fulltone is reclaiming everything and trying to make it his own I think a little bit. And that might work for you. This waw is good, but I could not tell a difference between this and my original Dunlop to be straight up. I sold it. I don't miss it. Even my Dime signature dunlop has settings I don't need but it had more juice than this one. I kept that one. All I have to do is step on that Tycobrathe Parachute waw and there is no other setting except off. It speaks for itself. Last person who I played it for said "Man I like this waw" What is this thing?
For friends...I would recommend trying them all out and see what floats your boat. There are no right or wrong answers here. This Clyde waw...Was average for me. With musicians friend you can return it. With Fulltone direct, unless he has changed, your on your own. Tycobrathe gives me the vibe that he will stand by you if you run into a problem. This is where I am at today.

Fulltone Wah - expectations met and exceeded

Comments about Fulltone Clyde Deluxe Wah Guitar Effects Pedal:

Literally have multiple pedal boards with many different wah pedals and I must say that this one has surpassed them all. The action is sweet and the sweep sounds beautifully balanced. The new modes switch makes the wah even more exciting as you can fine tune different settings to your hearts content. You can emulate any sound or just make your own with simple dialing in. I have not experienced any issues with a scratchy pot as heard with other wah pedals. As for the old adage, "you get what you pay for," it certainly rings true with this quality device. If you can afford it, get it. You won't want anything else. A spectacular job done on a great wah pedal.

                Nice, but not perfect

                By Tone Obsessed

                from York, PA (nowhere)

Comments about Fulltone Clyde Deluxe Wah Guitar Effects Pedal:

Like all the Fulltone stuff, this pedal is built like a tank with quality parts and meticulous wiring. The tone is good and the three voicing are nice, but you'll probably find yourself using only one of them most if not all the time. Likewise, the input level control isn't really all that useful or necessary; adjusting the volume knob on your guitar amounts to pretty much the same result. The sweep of this wah is huge, particularly if your use to the standard Cry Baby swing. Depending on your taste and playing style, this could be a good or bad thing. It nevertheless makes this pedal a different animal. I'd try before you buy. It's a good pedal that's a tad over-priced and may be a bit dissappointing if it's not you're cup of tea. But if you're a pedal junkie you'll probably want to add it to you collection.

I picked this up at my local guitar center yesterday, and havent been able to stop. before, i used the EVH signature wah, but i found that the lows were very muddy, like other Cry Babys. What im really looking for is a wah which is smooth and full all the way through, and i found it in this pedal. I wont be switching for years to come, cough up the dough and invest in the best wah u will ever use.
