Fulltone MDV Mini DejaVibe Vibe/Chorus Pedal (475533)
Availability:

Univibe tone straight out of the '60s—perfectly replicated down to the smallest detail.

The MDV Mini DejaVibe from Fulltone gives you the vintage experience of a '60s Univibe—you can't get more accurate than exact. The Mini DejaVibe delivers that dripping Phase-Chorused tone, the very same effect that made Jimi Hendrix's "Machine Gun" so epic. The Fulltone pedal comes in a beautiful vintage Cream color with maroon lettering on a sturdy 16-gauge steel housing that measures only 4" x 5-3/4".Now it's tiny enough to fit on the most cluttered pedalboard, and because of the mini-DV's unique voltage doubling circuit, you can use any standard 9-volt DC adapter (Fulltone FPS-1 adapter included), and inside the MDV pedal the power is ramped up to the original Univibe's 18+ volts DC.The mini-DejaVibe chorus pedal also has a mini-toggle switch to choose between Vintage and Modern settings, allowing for warm original Vintage '60s Univibe grind and louder, with more output (Modern setting).

  • Fulltone Mini Deja-Vibe

As reviewed by Paul on 6/18/2011

Been a long time fan of the Univibe effect since I heard Jimi use it (New Rising Sun, Machine Gun) and Robin Trower (Bridge of Sighs, etc) I have had several units and nothing beats the true photo cell circuit. Fulltone just happens to make a great unit using custom manufactured parts and great effort to construct a far better unit than the rather unstable and tone sucking original. It is 2011 not 1970 so applying now to then makes for a great quality and a toneful pedal. The photo cell circuit reacts and interacts with your guitar, amp, and other pedals in ways the tweaked phaser and modeler units simply do not. It's thicker more organic and you can just feel and hear you are playing the real deal. If you're an experienced player who likes the subtle nuances in tone you cannot go wrong w this unit. Having a smaller VL Micro Vibe (is a photocell circuit but does not have vibrato mode or vintage/modern mode like this unit) modified (JHS)will cost you close to this unit and that is your closest runner up to a great vibe pedal. Trower uses this Vibe constantly for many years. Satriani and others from time to time. I wanted one for some time. I am very pleased with the result and how it does sound and feel better than the mimics and newer attempts at tech.

  • Pricy but worth it.

As reviewed by S. on 1/24/2011

If you're looking for an all in one effects box to reproduce a good univibe sound, you're not gonna find one. If you're looking for the real thing, then buy this pedal.. It's THE authentic tone you're after. Don't waste your time and money with anything else. It's worth the money if you're serious about your tone and effects. Enough said.

  • Worth every penny!

As reviewed by Mike on 3/17/2010

I'd been using a Line 6 MM4 to try and get an authentic Univibe sound, but it always came out brittle and swooshy. I finally bought this pedal and viola! Wow! Twist a couple knobs and instant Trower and Hendrix. Smooth and watery - full of nice fat tone. The Speed knob is big enough to change with your foot. 60's, blues, SRV, Trower and Hendrix. There is no better companion for a mildly overdriven Strat than a Deja Vibe. It will be on my pedalboard forever.
