This amp kills all. Makes a mesa tripple sound like a whimp.
The tone is as fatt as I have ever heard verry articulate and responsive not for sloppy players, unless you want your mistakes to really be heard.
So, I own the VHT version of this amp and I've played the new Frette's and cannot tell a difference. These are hand built amps which is what you are paying for, but what that gets you is reliability. That being said, this amp has some serious gain, but it remains articulate. This is a true gigging amp with a ton of tonal possibilities, but it's gain channel is really what soars. If you can afford it, grab one!
