  I purchased this item as I often perform in outdoor/dimly lit venues and thought it was a really good idea. It is a good idea, unfortunately, it's a very poor product. The light output is so dim you can barely see it in a totally dark room. Also, you cannot use this on a nitrocellulose finish which is pretty common. Overall, very disappointed in this and I would not recommend it. To add insult to injury, it is non-returnable as it contains a light source...so I'm out $

  i bought this because i have been playing on dimly lit stages for over 30 years, and i thought, wow , this is the answer. boy this was one of the biggest mistakes ive made. when i recieved my kit in the mail, i read all the instructions 2 times to make sure i did it right. then i started. first, the plastic over the adhesive side, was bucked up, and didnt look like it wouls stick to any side of fretboard. but i thought, well maybe its supposed to be like this. anyway, i followed all the steps in order, and five minutes later, it started to seperate from the side of fretboard. i made sure where i put it was clean, and clear so it would adhere right too. no mistakes on my part. anyway this is a non returnable item. so that was that. i did save the light module, and use it for a door key illuminator so i can see to get in my home at night.
