I just recieved my proline guitar stand today and so far I am very pleased with its quality. The satnd looks nice and is built solid, the only problem I saw was that there is a tag explaining that the padding may dammage the finish on guitars with Nitro Cellulous Lacquer finish. Overall the proline stand is great quality for the price and I would purchase it again.

Use this stand at your house

This stand is good for holding a guitar at your house. It isn't sturdy, but if your not moving it around too much, it gets the job done.

Comments about FretRest by Proline HT1010 Guitar Stand:

This is the second Fret Rest I own. Just bought a new G-400 Pro and wanted a safe place to rest it. I like the locking strap across the top notch. The stand is very stable and stays in place. Very easy to remove and set the guitar on the rest.

    Comments about HT1010 Guitar Stand:

Just used for about a week now, and seems to be a solid/steady enough unit to hold my Jazz bass. Just prior to this purchase, I tried a 2-for-1 bargain pair that I also got from GC. But a bit too cheap/unsteady for my liking. So I returned those two, and for about the same $$ I purchased this one (1). So far, it's been great. No issues with it, and bass seems very secure on it! Very satisfied!

Have 2 of these and they work well. The strap has a way of sliding off sometimes, but it is easy to put back on. Heavy and stable for the price.

I have had one of these stands for about a year. It is where I place my guitar when not using it. I needed another stand for a second guitar and I ordered this one again because it works well. I like that it has a safety strap because we have grandchildren over and the guitars will not fall out of their stands if they touch them. The price was right.

              It's a stand

Comments about FretRest by Proline HT1010 Guitar Stand:

The first one I ordered (chrome) online and picked it up in store. When I got it home it was broken. There is a tiny spot weld that holds the top tube to the base and that weld failed. I returned it and exchanged for a second one (black) and it was fine. I suspect that the chrome may have had something to do with the bad weld. The crook where the guitar neck goes is not very wide, a 5-string bass neck is too wide to fit. Other than that, it's not a bad stand for the price.

Until it broke it worked well.

Less than two weeks after purchase the bracket at the bottom snapped off. Weight of an electric guitar too much? Small welds? Just a bad copy? Who knows? Maybe it's better suited to an acoustic guitar or maybe you just have to be very gentle when putting your guitar in the stand.

              Guitar will FALL!

              By marcus jackson

Comments about FretRest by Proline HT1010 Guitar Stand:

I have two of these and both stands have fell over multiple time when my guitar was on it. I use these stands with a telecaster, Martin acoustic, and dean ML shaped guitar and all of them have fell over when placed on the stand. I have carpet floors, but it shouldn't fall over anyways. I don't want to take the stand to any gigs because i'm afraid it will fall and hit the hard floor. DONT BUY THESE!
