Its a one piece stand with no assembly ! Just take it out of the box , spread it out and put your guitar to rest ! Very sturdy stand.
To be fair, it does say that on the description. I put my new Martin D-28 in a temperature controlled room on this stand for less than 24 hours. When I picked up the guitar, the stand was stuck to my guitar. Unfortunately, it made a mark through the finish right on the back of my guitar where the back meets the rubber. Its permanently burnt in. JUST BE WARNED, DO NOT USE THIS ON AN EXPENSIVE GUITAR WITH NITROCELLULOSE FINISH.
