Comments about Fostex MXL MR8MKII 990/991 Digital Recording Package:
I own the original MR8 (without phantom power and only 2 track simultaneous recording) and purchased the MXL 990/991 package with M-Audio's Audio Buddy pre-amp at a later date. A low budget investment which turned out to be a perfect pairing of legit equipment that performs exceptionally well inspite of cost. For hobbyists who aspire to make quality recordings without sacrificing studio perfection I highly recommend the Fostex multi-track line for a cost effective means of achieving digital success without complexity of production. In the same vein I found the MXL 990/991 pack a perfect compliment for vocal and instrumental recording applications. Can't miss with these two products. Get on it now!
