The Fostex FR-2LE is a two-channel field recorder that records BWF or MP3 files in stereo or mono to Type II CompactFlash or Microdrive cards. You get up to 24-bit/96kHz resolution and a two-second pre-record buffer to ensure full-take recording. "File per Take" system allows for onboard scene and auto-take naming, or via external keyboard using the USB port. AA-size NiMH batteries let you work in the field for approximately 2 hours. The FR-2LE also features built-in phantom powering, editing functionality, and USB 2.0.
