The FR-2 field recorder is designed for location sound recording; broadcast and sound effects acquisition; TV and radio documentary; or any application where high-quality audio recording is required. The Fostex FR-2 records Broadcast Wave Files (BWF) to either a PCMCIA 1.8" hard drive or Type II CompactFlash card. It has convenient features such as an LCD screen, 10-second pre-record buffer, USB ports, battery power, onboard limiter, phantom powered mic inputs, and a file-per-take system with scene and auto take naming. Handles up to 24-bit/192kHz audio conversion.
