Mix It, like the David Jones Drums, contains drum samples recorded over the full length of a song, then cut up and divided into intros, verses, choruses, and endings. With Mix It, the original tracks have been maintained, allowing you to mix and process the drums to your own personal taste. Each song includes 4 mono tracks (hi-hats, kick, snare, ride) and 2 stereo tracks (toms and overheads). All the parts have been logically named to allow for easy identification and grouping. Mix It is a practical and easy to use sample library and is a perfect way to mix inspiring drums into your next musical project.
The Wav, REX2, and Acidized hits are broken down into 5 styles:
•ContemPop: Recorded at 117BPM and played in the style of contemporary pop hits like Savage Garden, Matchbox 20, and Crowded House. •CountryRock: Recorded at 113BMP with a busy snare rhythm. This style uses brushes and stick, and is popular with artists such as Sheryl Crow and Shania Twain. •Grungie: Recorded at 136BPM. Grungie is taken from today's "grunge pop" market. It is fast and furious with a lot of energy similar to the Foo Fighters, Blink 182, etc. •RocknFunky: Recorded at 92BPM with a funky rock approach popular with a wide variety of bands from Kylie Minogue to Sade. •Washy: Recorded at 88BPM, this sample collection is a laid back, straight ahead style with lots of washy ride cymbals and open hats. Very similar in style to that of Coldplay, Lenny Kravitz, etc.
The drums are provided by Australia's David Jones, one of the world's great drummer/percussionists who has worked with a wide variety of international superstars, including John Denver, Stevie Wonder, Seals & Crofts, as well as popular Australian artists from the blues phenom Nathan Cavaleri, long-standing rockers Dragon, pop stars Debra Byrne and Peter Cupples, amongst others.
