    Not for ESP LTD guitars

Comments about Floyd Rose Special Series Tremolo Bridge with R3 Nut:

Its an alright set, stays in tune pretty well, alot better than a licensed floyd, but the parts are NOT made to fit ESP LTD guitars, specifically the LTD MH100QM. Tried both the one with R2 and the one with R3 and the R3 is too big, R2 is too small, and the bridge that came with the R2 has a big gap on the left side between the wood and bridge. Fine tuners are a bit tight at first. The post that the bar goes into comes loose alot as well so you will be tightening the screw often in the beginning. I will eventually be upgrading to the original, but this will do for now.

    Very nice kit

Comments about Floyd Rose Special Series Tremolo Bridge with R3 Nut:

This bridge is GREAT!! It stays in tune very well and feels nicer then my Edge 3. It was very easy to install and works great. I got the aged silver one. I am very impressed with how straight my strings on my guitar feel, each power chord is crunchy and the solos are nicer then with my old bridge. I will be buying a few more of these.

    It's ok...

Comments about Floyd Rose Special Series Tremolo Bridge with R3 Nut:

So I got this Floyd Rose when i bought myself the ESP LTD KH-202 a year ago and it gets the job done...I mean, if you are new to a floyd rose, the Special is a good place to begin. It takes awhile to break in so it might not be in tune perfectly for the first month or so. You can do dive Bombs and other extreme vibrato techniques on this but the trem bar would get loose after a few minutes of heavy abuse so you would have to re-tighten the barrel with an allen wrench. The trem bar itself though is sturdy, very solid, although just a few days ago it gave in and snapped right above the barrel, so in a sense, not that tough but will last a while. The sustain is not bad but not great either. Overall, great for beginners but I recommend that if you are looking for a guitar with a floyd rose, Get an FR 1000 or an Original.

    Pretty Good

    By

Comments about Floyd Rose Special Series Tremolo Bridge with R3 Nut:

I got this bridge with my Epiphone Les Paul Plus Top PRO/FX. It is a pretty good bridge and take a beating with dive bombs. The problems are that it doesn't like to stay in tune much with pulling up on the bar and as many others have said, the whammy bar has a bit of space in its mounting hole which causes a dreadful buzz at point but at least its not heard through your amp. Also, the sustain block isnt really to my liking. It looks very cheap and doesn't add too much to the guitar. I would purchasing a Floyd Upgrades Big Brass Block for it. its cheap and it works wonders. Ive Had this for about 6 months now and it holds up pretty well but in the long run i would upgrade to a floyd rose original or a Floyd Upgrades High Performance bridge if you can afford it. Thats what I'm doing. But if you are a beginner or on a budget, the Floyd Rose Special is the way to go.
