BUY IT!!!

By Bigjimbailey

from Louisa, VA

Comments about Fishman Loudbox Performer Acoustic Combo Amp:

I use this amp for acoustic guitar and vocals onstage and I love it. My sound guys love it too because I send them all three channels: two preamp channels and one post mix. Very natural sound and a little bit loud too!

2 in 1 amp that can't be beat!

By Rich K.

from New York City

Comments about Fishman Loudbox Performer Acoustic Combo Amp:

This is a great amp. You get a terrific portable PA and acoustic amp in one 35lb. package. Fishman quality can't be beat. My acoustic guitars sound fantastic whether I use one with a built in or attached pickup or I mike the guitar. This amp sounds great at low volume at home practicing or on stage at a louder volume. Also, I don't have to be concerned about the quality of the PA at a gig because the Fishman Loudbox delivers the sound I want anywhere, anytime. The Loudbox reproduces the true sound of my acoustic guitars amazingly and with such clarity of tone. The effects features are great whether practicing, playing live or recording with it. I also use my 1963 Fender Stratocaster through it for some of my songs and the sound is incredible. You can't go wrong with this amp and you won't have any regrets if you buy it, especially with Guitar Centers 30 day return policy.

Homerun by Fishman!

By Froggy P14

from Ohio

Comments about Fishman Loudbox Performer Acoustic Combo Amp:

Just purchased the Loudbox Performer in Columbus, OH. Fantastic Amp! Huge sound! This is the amp others will be compared to. Built-in blending system off 2nd channel lets me leave my blender at home when I need to & just plug direct into the amp with a stereo cable. My Taylor 512 w/transducer & mic. sounds superb. Homerun by Fishman! Thanks to Todd @ Columbus Guitar Center for great customer service!

Freakin' Rocks!!!

By Chris Jack

from Chesapeake, VA

Comments about Fishman Loudbox Performer Acoustic Combo Amp:

Fishman hit a home run with this one! I didn't even know they made amps but when I was looking into a lightweight, compact, but still loud acoustic amp to take to college I came across this. I came in with my Martin DCX-1E to try it out. When I plugged it in I seriously thought the acoustics of my guitar were bouncing of the walls back at me. It was so purely replicated. That was the first time I was satisfied with the amplification of my Martin. With two 6" subs, a 4" mid cone, and a tweeter, this amp is packing for its size and weight. I chose the 130W above the 100W because of greater subwoofer surface area, which brings out my Roland Fantom X8 keyboard as well. I didn't have the money to spend on a PA, and I'm glad I didn't, or I may never have come across this beast of an amp. THANK YOU FISHMAN!!!!!!!

The perfect amp

By Bob Trice

from Rockwell, NC

Comments about Fishman Loudbox Performer Acoustic Combo Amp:

This is the first amp that I ever bought that I can not find the first thing wrong with or suggest an improvement. The features are great. The effects are top-notch. The design exquisite and classey. But the best is the sound. It ate up and spit out a Fender Acoustasonic combo I had for years and I thought it sounded great til I heard them side by side. WOW!! The anti-feedback knob works so well I think it is magic. Built like the proverbial tank and light for so much amp. Makes your guitar sound just like it sounds only amplified. Does small to medium rooms with ease and it also handles vocals equally as well. And the kicker is they are cheaper now than when I got mine 2 years ago! Heck, it's still worth it. Bob

Great natural sound

By Robert Salvatore

from Visalia, CA

Comments about Fishman Loudbox Performer Acoustic Combo Amp:

Had it for about 3 weeks and it gets the most natural acoustic sound of any amp yet. I have played Taylor 414, T-5 and NS-32 nylon string all sound great, especially the nylon string. My Fender Telecaster even sounds great on this amp. Well worth the money.

Not Quite Right

By Robert Albano

from Metairie, LA

Comments about Fishman Loudbox Performer Acoustic Combo Amp:

I picked up the Loudbox Performer because of the great reviews it got and was recommended by a couple of people. I brought it home and played with it for quite some time. I used a couple of different guitars with it and played with the EQ (which is only 3 channels) and the on board digital effects. I couldn't get along with the twangy, nasal-like sound that it gave me. I spoke with one of the guitar guys at GC and he assured me I could get what I wanted with the purchase of one or two carefully selected effects pedals. I wasn't thrilled with the aspect of spending another $300 on pedals, so I returned it. I have an Acoustic AG30 and I really like the sound I get from it with the on board effects that it comes with, so I ordered an AG120S. I do have to say that the Fishman got really loud and produced very clear sound at high volumes. The feedback controls DO work fairly well and the construction seems to be rock solid. I just didn't have the money to spend on additional equipment to get it to do what I wanted it to do.

very cool amp.....

By DON SWITZER

from NYC

Comments about Fishman Loudbox Performer Acoustic Combo Amp:

Got this on-line at GC, Always enjoy the sound of these fishman amps. Very clean lots of head room, very good DI features as well. Now lets get 2 the sound. I compared this with my fender acoustasonic(non-dsp) Wasnt blown away but was very impress. Where the 2 differ is in tone. The fender has a warmer sound, where's the fishman is very clean. Come down 2 taste. I play nylon as well as steel string , they both serve there purpose well. I guess i'll keep them both(electric players have more then 1 amp all the time) why not acoustic cats...lol I threw a boss ad-3 & a fishman aura pedal on the front end. Not only do i get the very fine acoustic of the amp, those pedals warm up and compliment the amp nicely. Very cool effect internally in the amp already, the other pedal gave a very nice flavor as well....
