Received two of these minis yesterday and put one to work last evening at our Wed. night church service. Had a guest speaker and a singer who didn't bring any gear. I let her use my Martin 000CSE that is my stage guitar and she got to be the first one to use the Mini. We had around 80 people there in a medium size venue. Her only request is she wanted to be loud. (We have a full size P.A. system in the church), but I thought that this would be a good place to check out my new amp. It blew us away. Had the master set at about 2 o"clock and the guitar and mic channels at around 3 or 4. Crystal clear sound, rich and full! Amazing! My wife was sitting there asking, "Is that your new amp?" It sounds great! Me and my two partners play churchs and we also play "Cowboy music and do poetry. A lot of times we play smaller venues and also house parties and these amps fit the bill perfectly. At under 20 LB and $$$ they don't break the bank or your back. I knew the first time I played one at GC that they would be a big part of our shows. I will use mine as a monitor running direct to the board when we play the big places. Check it out singers and pickers you'll be amazed.

    Good for electric too!

    By The Payment

    from Cambridge MA

Comments about Fishman Loudbox Mini PRO-LBX-500 60W 1x6.5 Acoustic Combo Amp:

This amp is marketed as an acoustic amp but if you like a clean tight sound for your electric, in a portable unit, this amp works great. I play a USA tele through it and I get a bright, ringing tone that other musicians have complimented. I love the simplicity and portability of this amp. For a big room/loud band scenario you'll need to mic it though a PA but I recently played a large hall with high ceilings and about 150 people and had no problem being heard. I find the complexity of the do-it-all modelling amps to render them useless for gigging. This amp has very nice digital reverb and a reasonable chorus. That's all I need 95% of the time. The biggest bonus is the small size and portability of the unit. I can carry my axe and amp at the same time without straining myself. Get this amp. It will become your "go to" unit. One last thought...I wish they made a custom cover for it.

    Sliced Bread Category

    By Michael Hummel

    from Chandler, AZ

Comments about Fishman Loudbox Mini PRO-LBX-500 60W 1x6.5 Acoustic Combo Amp:

I've only been using (the heck out of it!) for 3 days, but I'm pretty sure it's going to go in the "best things since sliced bread" category. I've been using it at home to practice through. At first I only had my guitar plugged in, but decided to hook up my mic also to see how it did with both--crystal clear, rich and full on BOTH guitar and vocals. It has very nice digital reverb and a reasonable chorus. I've discovered it's a great/best way to practice vocal mic techniques--getting the hang of when your voice needs you up close to the mic, when to back off and how far. For small, intimate gigs, the simplicity and portability of this amp (about 20#s) is all you'll need 95% of the time. The price point makes it very affordable. May as well put my Fishman SoloAmp in it's travel case and save it for the bigger gigs.

    The best

    By Jerry Virden Jr.

    from Pleasantville, Iowa

Comments about Fishman Loudbox Mini PRO-LBX-500 60W 1x6.5 Acoustic Combo Amp:

This is the 3rd Fishman Mini I've bought, This one I actually bought for a freind who heard my other two and had me pick one up for him. These amp are AMAZING, we've used them for acoustic guitars, vocals, bass guitar, and believe it or not a pedal steel guitar. When Fender was coming out with their NEW Acoustisonic 150 last year they where backordered and the guy at Musicians Freind told me to buy the mini while I waited for the Fender and send the Fishman back when the Fender was released. All I can say is when the Fender arrived I sent it back and kept the FISHMAN MINI. Buy one you won't be sorry !!

    Packs a Punch!!

    By Chris Sampogna

    from New York

Comments about Fishman Loudbox Mini PRO-LBX-500 60W 1x6.5 Acoustic Combo Amp:

I had my eyes set on the Fender Acoustasonic, but after plugging into this little guy, it blew away the Fender 10X. The sound I get from this thing is sooo good, really never expected such a clear, crisp, warm tone from a tiny little amp. Took me seconds to dial in my Taylor, then added some chorus and reverb effect, and boom, my guitar sounds incredible! Havent tried the XLR input for vox yet, but this thing is really all i need for gigs. Extremely portable too. LOUD too! Can play with a band too! I'd recommend this amp for any acoustic gigging musician.

THE NAME SAYS IT ALL. LOUD BOX MINI

    By walt young

Comments about Fishman Loudbox Mini PRO-LBX-500 60W 1x6.5 Acoustic Combo Amp:

I play solo. Dinner settings to dance hall. Country and pop. Over the years I have used Fender, Roland acoustic amps, and PA's. More and more the tear down and load up is the most not fun part of the evening. I've cut my set up and tear down in half. I need a guitar, cord, mic, stand and cord, and that's it. Some venues I use a vocal harmonizer so I have a few more wires in that case. This little amp is beyond fantastic. Guitar and vocal quality are outstanding. I just played a ninety foot long hall full of people dining and dancing. I Had plenty of volume to spare. You will be stunned as I am over what a six and half inch speaker can do. A saw a buddy of mine was using this with a trio, bass, drums and acoustic guitar and vocals. A thousand dollar PA would have not sounded one bit better. Do not mistake the size of this amp for a bedroom practice amp.

    Great Acoustic Amp... Excellent Value!

    By Tim McLain

    from Mobile, Alabama

Comments about Fishman Loudbox Mini PRO-LBX-500 60W 1x6.5 Acoustic Combo Amp:

I am a drummer by trade, but I recently started playing the guitar. I ended buying a mid-level Taylor with a pickup and plugged it into an old Fender practice amp that I already had. After playing it a while, I wasn't very pleased with what I was getting through the little Fender amp, so I started doing some research and reading the reviews on acoustic amps. Basically, most of what I read and heard pointed me toward the Fishman Loudbox Mini, and boy were they right! I absolutely love the sound that I'm getting with my new Taylor and this Fishman amp and at a price that was pretty affordable. When it comes to guitar stuff, I'm a real novice and don't know that much about all the gear. And although I'm sure there's something better out there, but for a beginner like me who is playing the guitar as a hobby, this is a great amp and is really a good bang for the buck!

Comments about Fishman Loudbox Mini PRO-LBX-500 60W 1x6.5 Acoustic Combo Amp:

Having read all of the reviews on the Fishman LoudBox series and other amps, I decided to check it out in person at the local GC. On first glance I thought maybe I was looking at the wrong one. It is small, until you plug in! This is the littlest big amp that I have ever played through on the acoustic. I play a Takamine Jumbo and this little amp covers the full spectrum and range better than any I have played through. And who would have thought a 6.5" speaker would be so loud and so clear? What could make it better? A headphone jack and echo!

The D.I. out is a special bonus for home recording, studio, PA, churches.

I am actually thinking that I want another just like it to play stereo through as well as any coffee shop gigs that might turn up. I am not a singer but I have heard vocals through a Mini and was amazed because I was in the back of the room.

Comments about Fishman Loudbox Mini PRO-LBX-500 60W 1x6.5 Acoustic Combo Amp:

I really like this amp because it has great uses onstage when you are playing through a PA. You can use it as a DI and also as a stage monitor. It has a DI out that you can plug into the snake and color your sound using the minis on board reverb and chorus settings as well as the three band eq. Vocals also sound great through it and it does a great job by itself when you're not plugged into a PA. Plenty of volume for small coffee shop or similarly sized venue. This is a great little amp for the price and I would definitely recommend it. The only thing the larger artist has that it doesn't is a few more modeling controls such as echo and it also it has DI outs for both individual channels while the mini has only one DI out which sends a combined signal of both channels. Both amps are great as I've played through both but the mini being much cheaper doesn't mean it's that much of a lessor amp.

Comments about Fishman Loudbox Mini PRO-LBX-500 60W 1x6.5 Acoustic Combo Amp:

It was going to be the fisherman or the Marshall 50 D I tried them out at guitar center and all my God did this little mini blow the marshal away. The marshal was more cheap and Muskee kind of sound and the mini was good base and good highs and great midrange. You can even tell by the quality on how the knobs turn most amp boxes term very loosely but this one turns firm rich like it's expensive. I had no idea it was the smallest amp on the showroom floor but yet the most clearest the most loudest and the most amazing sound I've heard the AC 60 compared to this app Only difference is AC 60 has more and paths and options while the sample only has one instrument and one microphone with an artillery in the back but same quality sound. I highly recommend this amp for any acoustic guitar player that is practicing at home or takes it to a small gig town like at Starbucks area give this product five stars worth every penny. And believe me I did my research on all the samps on YouTube and I was going in there to buy a Marshall until I heard the Fishman mini. You got my vote and yes I do recommend this to anybody from novice intermediate to pro who want something really superlight and super small to carry around. Now when I say it's small I don't mean those small ones that you strap around your hip it's a household item that sits on the floor but too comparable standards to the Marshall 50 D it's smaller louder clearer and far more better

Comments about Fishman Loudbox Mini PRO-LBX-500 60W 1x6.5 Acoustic Combo Amp:

I was hesitant to purchase the Loudbox Mini since it looked so small and was higher priced than several other brands at GC. I tried it in the store and was impressed, so I bought it. I just finished a music set at a large outdoor poolside venue with 150 people attending and everyone could hear both the guitar and vocals clearly. Great quality sound and plenty loud.

Comments about Fishman Loudbox Mini PRO-LBX-500 60W 1x6.5 Acoustic Combo Amp:

I was looking for an acoustic amp to use playing small gigs. I checked out different amps at Guitar Center using the same acoustic guitar which play with which is a Seagull. The sound of the Loudbox Mini was clearly the cleanest. I bought it. Having played several bar gigs with it since I have been blown away by the sound of this amp. I also play harp through it and get an unbelieveable semi dirty sound through it..several of my band mates are looking into getting their own..I've also ran this amp through the venue's PA and it sounds great... Well worth the money...

Comments about Fishman Loudbox Mini PRO-LBX-500 60W 1x6.5 Acoustic Combo Amp:

If you're looking for an amp that fits perfectly with your acoustic/electric guitar, look no further! The Fishman Loudbox Mini PRO-LBX-500 is the one you need! I play a Martin GPCPA4 (pre-installed Fishman F1 Analog) and a Taylor Model 110 (under saddle Fishman Matrix Infinity preamp) and both sound absolutely gorgeous through the Fishman Loudbox Mini PRO-LBX-500. An added bonus on the amp is reverb and chorus filters. As a working musician in an acoustic folk rock band, I'm not big into guitar effects, but the reverb and chorus on the Fishman Loudbox Mini PRO-LBX-500 allow you to add just the right amount of both that will enhance the sound of your acoustic guitar. The folks at Fishman have came up with a winner in the Fishman Loudbox Mini PRO-LBX-500. I highly recommend this amp.

Comments about Fishman Loudbox Mini PRO-LBX-500 60W 1x6.5 Acoustic Combo Amp:

As advertised this unit is light and small with a coaxial speaker that has a nice sound. a little on the Jazz side. both channels have enough adjustments to do a small gig with 2 mics or electric with mic. I use it with an acoustic-a seagull and a semi-hollow body epiphone with a sure 58 and an at-2035 dynamic and everyone likes the sound. The only negative I have found is the outer wrap gets scuffed easily.

Comments about Fishman Loudbox Mini PRO-LBX-500 60W 1x6.5 Acoustic Combo Amp:

I use this for practice at home and for jamming with friends. It'e plenty powerful for
small venue gigs also. I use with my 6 string acoustic and with my Schecter Bass!
