All in the title, great sound, easy setup. Sounds natural, crisp, and is worth the money, don't spend cheap on other acoustic pickups.
Not wanting to greatly alter my HD-28, I tried the humbucker version of this pick up and it is very natural sounding. However the same humbucker pick up in my Martin D28-12 sounded mudlled, losing some of the sharp jangle of the 12 string. I tried the single coil rare eath instead and voila! problem solved. The trade of is that you gain some noise in exchange, but if you keep a little distance from your amp or run it through a pre-amp, its eay to manage. If your going to do the permanent install yourself, definitely get the end pin reamer from Stewart-Macdonald for that purpose. Its not cheap, but neither was your favorite acoustic. I had tried sound hole pick ups in the 70's, but they just made your guitar sound like a cheap electric. This is a great improvement.
