I love this stuff. I've used it almost since Day One (when I first realized string lubricants existed). The aerosal dispenser is fast, clean, and it doesn't harm the atmosphere. Plus, in over 20 years of using the stuff, I've never seen it cause any kind of damage to any of my guitars. It's highly effective in reducing string drag and in helping to eliminate the dreaded "squeaks" that invariably occur. I corrode strings pretty quickly if they're left untreated. So, in addition to making my strings FEEL better, they actually make my strings PLAY better and last longer. Forget paying a premium for special nano coated wires; just grab a can of Fingerease and make ANY string "coated"! I've also tried a bunch of other liquid string lubes but none of them even comes close to Fingerease. Plus, the stuff seems to sell for the same price now as when I first started using it. Unreal! If you like slick, effortless strings that maintain that "just restrung" quality, you're sure to appreciate the mojo that awaits you inside this little 2.5 ounce miracle.

This review in which I have observed and feel may not be persuaded to others, but this is not my intention in doing at all. So I want to clarify that it is an ok use for but for some critique reasons. First off, I am still a fan of this product to this day, and yes I have use this quite often. BUT, there are some few things you have to be aware of when you buy this. Most of the times when I change strings it's because they feel stiff and I have no I idea why they keep feeling stiff most of the time, until I come to realize it's the finger ease that's being in use. Here is my tip on buying a product. "ALWAYS READ WHAT'S ON THE BACK!" and yes, I have to learn this the hard way. The 1st line of the 1st paragraph is the crucial evident you have to think about, in which the part is read, "Reduces finger tenderness-stops string talk..." To me, that would mean that it will stiffen the strings to the point where there will be little or no string talk, in which case, you'll be sacrificing string bending. Many songs that are played are highly used for bending strings and such, but if you don't do strings bending at all, you wouldn't care much at all then. Also, this takes away you callous from your fingers! "...residue transfers from strings to fingers and conditions callouses, keeping soft and smooth without snags." I don't know if I am interpreting correctly, but YOU NEED TO HAVE HARD CALLOUSED FINGERS TO PLAY GUITAR OR ANY OTHER STRING INSTRUMENT! I think that this is good for nylon strings but not steel strings at all... I replaced my old elixirs nanoweb .009 over dunlop .009 and it was very good at first when I played to stretch out the strings, but after when I applied the finger ease to the strings, it just started to sound and feel really different. Now, many of you who may read this read this review will not agree with me maybe because most of you have better experience with the this more than me; But this is my experience with the product which is the reason why I'm giving this a 3 stars. It is not a good product, but it is not bad either. For now, this product will be my last can when I finish it. Until the manufacturer improves this product, I will buy it once again. By the way, the guitar that I put my strings on is a Charvel DST-FR1 which is similar to the LTD/ESP Gus-g Random star.

really good product if used correctly.

Comments about Fingerease Guitar String Lubricant:

I like this product best of all the products that are similar. I've used them all. this product must be polished off the guitar neck and strings. do not get any on the body if you can avoid it ( I cover mine with a towel)and if you do clean it off right away because it says not to use on the body. If you read some of the low reviews it's because they failed to follow the directions. If you leave the spray on the strings without wiping it down it leaves a greasy feeling that will get on your fingers and cause your skin to get too soft. when used properly it's good for me. I have a friend who says they make the string too slippery for him.

      slick strings and less squeaks

Comments about Fingerease Guitar String Lubricant:

This is a very good product. I don't know if I would recommend spraying it directly onto the strings but if you spray it on a cloth with no fuzzies and rub the strings it works wonders; don't want to risk ruining the finish on some expensive guitar. Just slide the cloth under the strings and you get all of them for bending with the effect you want.

Great Product, One of the Products that does what it claims

      By James Vining

      from Milwaukie, Oregon

Comments about Fingerease Guitar String Lubricant:

I originally tried this product back in Summer or 09 when I started playing Guitar after 18 years off, I had some issues with calouses and friction between my strings and my fingers and since I had just started again I wanted something to put on my strings to make playing easier. Since then my fingers are tough enough to play without it but I find it increases my string life, makes my Neck nice and smooth which allows me to move from low to high frets with ease and just makes overall playing easier. I ran out in January and I tried to just play without it and I found I really missed the benefits it produced plus I noticed my strings were not holding up as well as when I used this so I decided to buy a can. I am not going to let myself run out again and I highly recommend this product to any guitar or any string instrument player. It is in-expensive an ddelivers exactly what it claims on the can.

      Works wonders

      By Marc Dobriner

Comments about Fingerease Guitar String Lubricant:

I used to use this stuff 20 years ago ! ; recently got a can of it when one of my guitar students gave me a gift certificate . What is new to me and really great is that it's really effective for a "Classical" guitar too . It takes the dryness away from the neck and strings which facilitates less friction which then produces a better sound ; and it can even be sprayed on the open strings for your right hand nails to contact more smoothly . Not oily and no sticky residue . I'm very impressed with the results .

Comments about Fingerease Guitar String Lubricant:

I Flippin hate this stuff!! but it is good in some places like many of the other reveiws it does help speed up your playing, but it Screws up your finish even on my 69' Gibson lp i woke up and saw a huge Stain on it from this stuff and i had to get it refinished not fun and it also screwed up the pickups but not that bad so i was releived, and it decreses the life of your strings, so DO NOt buy this for your vintage guitars or else...
