Comments about Fender Vibro-King VK-212B 140W 2x12 Guitar Speaker Cabinet:

It compliments & extends the sound of the Vibro King Amp my son has well. It is too bad that Fender stopped making the Vibro King Amp. My son has a Fender Delux and a 57 classic and has tried the Supersonic but the Vibro King despite being a little pricey ($2700 - $3100) definitely has the best sound unless you can find real vintage with original tubes and vibrating unit (1956 - 1966). Only other thing close is the Magnatone Twilighter for sound. The extension cabinet stacks the Vibro King Amp nicely & securely. By the way, pedals only glimpse the sound of a true vibating unit. I tried a lot of them. Close but definitely no Cigar.

Comments about Fender Vibro-King VK-212B 140W 2x12 Guitar Speaker Cabinet:

Ok - this is what you want if you love the sound of your Custom Vibroluxe, have done everything on the planet to get the bugs out of it, and are just used to having more speaks pushing air.

It turns out to be a great match for the 10's and really does add articulation and body, although I agree with the previous user who mentioned it would be nice to have tunable back panels for bass control - while not 'woofy', you do need to watch the extended bass output depending upon the venue.

Good construction, the Celestions are actually a surprise if you are a Jensen freak, and it just seems to work well... MINOR issue - you will need to move or remove the amp foot cups to match the Vibroluxe, it's the right width, but it is NOT a direct fit as it was designed to go under the Vibro KING... but it's an easy fix.

Finally, I am not a loud freak (well...), and won't indicate that this will make your amp a lot louder - it's all about FIDELITY and HEADROOM, and this will do it.. pedals sound G-R-E-A-T!!!!!

All-in-all, you'll be glad you bought this... thanks Fender!

Fabulous Cabinet 4 ohm, bought for my Custom Vibrolux

      By Mark Harrington

      from New England USA, Maine

Comments about Fender Vibro-King VK-212B 140W 2x12 Guitar Speaker Cabinet:

I would buy one of these again, if I had another amp to mate it too...It delivers beautiful sounds. I think for the price Fender could afford to put in Alnico's instead of Ceramic Magnet speakers....But if they had to use a Ceramic Speaker, Celestion Vintage 30's are certainly a fine choice, and so I am very pleased at the sound quality., cabinet build quality
This is a solid built cabinet, with front loading speakers, wired in series to = 4 ohms and really gives an incredible punch when added to my Custom Vibrolux Reverb amp . The plastic upper corner mounts designed to mate to the feet casters of The Vibro-King amp, are perhaps the only single cheap thing about this cabinet...otherwise...it is Fender all the way
Very pleased with the sound, and response, but would have liked to see this with a 2 or 3 piece back that opens if one wanted to detune the depth of the BASS
This was an exceptional buy for the price, and Musicians Friend got it here quick in time for the 2011 Holidays

      Excellent Cab

      By CMO_Guitar

Comments about Fender Vibro-King VK-212B 140W 2x12 Guitar Speaker Cabinet:

Got this cab from Guitar Center back in December of last year. They didn't have one in stock so they special ordered it from their Fender dealer. (It was one of their last shipments of these for a while so I was in luck!) I traded in my Marshall 1960A Cab to downsize for space. I've been running my 1968 Fender Bassman Head through it and it's as if the two were made for each other. Add in a reverb pedal and you've got amazing tone through this cab. My friend had the Orange 2x12 with the same speakers. The open back of the Orange made his tone very mid/treble crunchy sounding. This cab is punchier, it's closed-back gives it a tighter bottom end and the highs ring beautifully. Only reason I gave the features a 4 is because it only has a single impedance (4-ohm) so you're somewhat limited to what amp you plug in. I gave the value a 4 only because it was a little pricey. Definitely worth it though. Very loud cab as well. Also, sounds great when micing it with an e609 or SM57 anywhere on either speaker. For live or studio.

      awesome

      By rob

Comments about Fender Vibro-King VK-212B 140W 2x12 Guitar Speaker Cabinet:

first, let me say i have had a few amps and i always have been chasing a certain sound and build quality, very difficult to get both the way you want it. money helps. all that aside. the vibro king is awesome. whether you play at home(me) or you gig all over(not me) this is your amp. i say that because it is too loud for home so i never go over 3 1/2. 63 reverb, vibrato trem., fat mid boost. besides a ss rectifier it is all tubes. trust me rectifier tubes are an expensive headache so i welcome a few modern compliments. 3 10 inch alnicos sound great but could use a pair of 12 inch celestion ceramics. thats where the extension cabinet comes in. that extended cabinet provides a blues-breaker crunch to compliment the almost perfect vibro king. it even turns your fender into a stack. how cool is that? thats what pete townsend does well, times two. but, it will be incredible in mono as well. i love my amp setup, it will be my last. i am glad i completed my set. go into gc and order your speaker cabinet right now.

Comments about Fender Vibro-King VK-212B 140W 2x12 Guitar Speaker Cabinet:

This cabinet hits hard. It has the low-end that everyone tries to find and that comes from the 5/8 plywood surrounding it. This thing can also get really loud if you want it to. The fact that it's lightweight is a nice treat too. If you're looking for a great cab look no farther than this one.
