Perfect upgrade! Lots of great features.

By Rainier

from Orlando, FL

I have only been playing guitar for about 2 years and this is my second guitar. I finally convinced my wife to upgrade to a guitar with electronics to have that plug in option if I needed to at church or something. I did about 3 months of research, reading reviews, going to the GC and trying out all kinds of guitars (even those way out of my price range) and I kept getting drawn to this one. No, it doesn't sound as good as the Martins or the Taylors or the Gibsons but I don't have Martin or Taylor or Gibson money. But with the quality of the sound and the features on this T-Bucket, you can't get more bang for your buck in this price range. The onboard tuner is a great plus. The action was perfect right out of the box. And the Fender strings that came on it sound almost as good as the Elixir Lights that I'm used to. I haven't plugged mine in yet but I plugged one in at the GC and the highs and the lows sound pretty clear. Fender did an awesome job with this guitar and I can't put it down once I get playing. It was a perfect upgrade to a beginner's guitar and I don't see myself upgrading anytime soon...unless I win the Lottery and can afford that Taylor 810ce :)

Great looks with above average tone

By Casey Ayers

from Kansas City, MO

I've had this guitar since christmas and the only problem i've had with it is that fingerprints are easily visible. This guitar has great looks on stage even with the spotlights and is definitely a head turner with the tobacco sunburst and for 299, it sounds great. Summary: Warm, dreadnought tone. Eye-catching colors & looks. Muted while tuning. If switching from a les paul or telecaster to this guitar, it can be kind of awkward.

Definite for anything acoustic

By Torin C.

from Florida

I bought this guitar about a year ago. Very good for its price and a real beauty. The electronics in it have an okay sound through an amp, but you can always change that. Has good high action and great for song writing. I plan to take it on the road with me. The back of the neck cracks easy in a bad case or with damage. Dont get a case without checking it out so the neck doesnt get ruined

jaw dropping

By Kris Michael

from Miami, Florida

this guitar looked amazing when i first saw it when i strummed it was mind blowing i mean it took me 6 months through different relatives to save up for it i mean it was worth every chore Ive played lots of guitars in my life the only one that flat out beats this is a 2,000 dollar breed-love which makes me fell great. its nice and loud and the fish man preamp is such a bonus. I think im gonna make alot of beautiful music with this gorgeous guitar it does have a bit of a dense feel but it is small so it feels more reassuring that you actually have a sensible guitar. also the finish of the sunburst gets me nothing short of praise from everyone that sees it.

Great Sound, Great Price

By Kevin

from Davidson, NC

I bought this guitar a little over a month ago after the electronics in my main acoustic died. Boy am I glad they did. I had little time to do any research and browsing as my guitar died on a Sunday and I had to play again the next Sunday. I headed to GC and tried out several different guitars Taylors, Breedlove, Takamine, Alvarez. I didn't care what they sounded like unplugged as I will always be going through a PA System after plugging in the Taylors, Breedloves, Tak, etc I had a hard time justifying spending the extra money on any of those guitars. The action on this guitar is pretty good out of the box. The tuners are firm and feel strong when tuning it up. The sound plugged in is great due to the Fishman electronics. The fit and finish is amazing on the guitar. I love the fender inlay around the 12th fret. I can't say enough about this guitar. It's very easy to stand on stage for several hours without taking the guitar off. The tone as with most guitars is getting better the more I play it. I can't wait to see how she sings in about a year from now. The built in tuner is accurate and a handy to have to check tuning between sets. I have the sunburst version and love the way it looks. The finish on the guitar is great and not something I would have expected in a guitar in this price range. The flamed top is beautiful. I like that the input jack is not part of the strap pin as this is where my other guitar broke. The battery compartment is easy to get in and out of to change batteries. I don't have a single complaint about this guitar. I am so happy with it that I am going to buy a second one later this year for a backup and to use with alternate tunings. If you are looking for a great stage guitar that's easy to play and don't want to spend a lot of money then look no further. Fender got this one right.

What a Tone!

By Jon Ritchie

from Stacy, Minnesota

This guitar has an excellent raw tone right away, but when put through an amp with a small tape echo and some reverb, the guitar sounds perfect. I don't think you'll find any other guitar that could replace the beauty of this fender.

Great Guitar

By Mike

from Muskegon, MI

I bought this awesome fender about a month ago. Its a great guitar, especially for the price, and great for intermediate players like me, the acoustic sound is beautiful, and sounds great plugged into an amp as well. I use this guitar pplugged into an amp and it makes my friend jealous that it has a better distorted sound and better sustain than his electric, i would recommend this guitar highly. It comes with a preamp Fishman which is great, especially if you want the bass cranked up while playing plugged into an amp, and has an easy to read tuner that works great.
