I have been performing on stages across Kentucky for over a year now and have played many guitars, but the Fender T-Bucket 300CE is my favorite. It has amazing tone, and playability is excellent. Great guitar for anyone!!

As I mentioned in my "Cons" section, these guitars came with 2 different Pre-Amp options. The Fender named Pre-Amp setup doesn't produce any bass, it's mostly treble. Where as, the Fishman Pre-Amp models sound 1000x better. Fishman is the leading company in instrument amplification and they deserve it! So, if you find a 300CE with Fishman electronics, buy it!

I have added Grover Tuners, Brass Bridge Pins, Feedback Buster, and I run D'Addario EXP Medium strings. This guitar looks, and sounds amazing!

Also, people complain about the laminate top scratching easily... But I love it. It gives the guitar character that YOU want it to have. It gives me pride that I wore that guitar down, not the factory. MAKE IT YOUR OWN! GREAT GUITAR TO DO THIS WITH!

if you are looking for an inexpensive acoustic electric that isn't hideously ugly ('cause I think these are kinda cool), plays really well, and sounds excellent (for the price), I highly recommend the T-bucket. But I VERY HIGHLY recommend you go in person, sit down, and play through every one your your fender dealer has (hopefully they have several) and make sure you get the best one. You wanna find the ONE T-bucket that happened to get that guy at every stage in the factory. The good neck gluer, the good fret filer, the good bridge installer, the good top gluer, etc. that's how it is in the Global economy.
Anyway... there's my two cents... Good guitar... get the right one, and it's a REALLY good guitar for the money... Dig?
Look, this is a lower priced acoustic, so let's not go saying it's a Taylor clone or anything, Okay? But it does come with solid electronics and a comfortable, playable, bound neck (I like neck binding, it makes me feel like i've got all the room in the world..., illusory though it is).

I would downgrade to 3.5 for the laminate top, but I find the unplugged sound in mine to be nice and crisp, laminate or no. Not too shabby, Fender
Okay, I know this is a shabby rating, but hear me out... I spend about 90% of my time playing electric lead guitar. I'm a professional level musician. I need an acoustic, but it's like, not really my thing mostly, so I am having trouble dumping a lot on an acoustic. Well, I bought this one at my local music store, where they had three of them, all in different colors (mine is sunburst). I spent about 2 hours trying out acoustic-electrics in this price range before settling on this one. I could give two hoots about the color, really. I could care less. I played a couple deans, a pair of yamahas, a takamine, each of the ce300s, and a ce400, and within my budget, price was not an issue. Anyway, I started w/ the suburst, and it was bright and playable, and smooth... I was happily gettin' all jangly and funky and stuff in the store when I noticed the other two colors. So i tried 'em. While they were playable, the action on either one was not like the sunburst, and they were decidely duller - MUCH less jangly than the sunburst one I had. there was definitely something less in the build quality of the other two and, while not visible, it was audible. the other two weren't bad... they weren't. But my sunburst is phenomenal. It sounds up into the slightly higher price range of acoustic-electrics. Soo.. with such rangy, typically indonesian/chinese build quality, I have to give the guitar SERIES a 3. But mine is a solid 4.5. If you buy yours online, who knows? This thing, you HAVE to touch to buy. Trust me.
Solid value. This price for something I can plug in and play at a local gig, write songs and record with (home recording) is a solid buy. I would assume that even you got one that was not so perfect as mine, it would do all the above pretty well, since you're going to be amplifying, and the fishman will hide some of the imperfections... I really like this guitar. It is a solid value. MINE is a 5.5 in value...

The headset hasn't come yet. Of all eight guitars I've got from you over the years, Fender should be ashamed to shell this poorly crafted junk. I bought on line without trying one when I ordered my Gretsch. I got it on a whim and I'll never do that again. Love my Gretsch.

Comments about Fender T-Bucket 300 CE Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Dreadnought Guitar:

I use this as my daily practice, fun guitar. I'm new to playing but have been in the music scene most of my adult life. I think the sound from this instrument is great. It's a little soft but with an amp it's got plenty of tone. I would say give it a try at the music store first if possible, for your own taste in music. I like country (George Straight, Jones, Merle, Cash...), blues (not the best for blues but doable) and some classic pop rock like Eagles, CCR and Marshall Tucker Band. This guitar fits the sound in most of my music choices.

Comments about Fender T-Bucket 300 CE Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Dreadnought Guitar:

If you're looking for a great guitar at a great price, then buy this one. The neck is incredible - it feels almost like an electric. The tuners are ok - they stay in tune. The Fishman electronics work great and the built in tuner is a bonus that deadly accurate. However, the action was far too high for my liking and it took several truss rod adjustments to get it where I like it. The strings that come with this guitar while they do sound ok, are brittle, stiff pieces of garbage which I took the wire cutters to after a few days (just so I would never be tempted to put them back on). I put on a set of Elixir Polywebs and the difference was night and day. I've also gotten a couple of replacement bridge saddles that I could file down to get the string height within specs (I didn't want to file the original saddle). Of course all of this could have been done by your local luthier or the pros at GC but I prefer to do it myself. Bottom line is that I now have an accoustic/electric which will rival guitars 2 or 3 times the price of this one.

I have had this for about a week and a half it is a dreadnought most definitely with a very rich bass sound. It was great I played it out of the box (just needed to be tuned) the action set up was very nice it just had a slight bow but you couldn't tell unless you tried to look for it.
