I have a tele that has long been my pride and joy, and only recently did I decide to spring for one of these quality Fender cases. I wish I had joined that club years ago... The build quality, fit, and finish of these cases well justify the price. The black tweed/black plush makes a quality frame for the art that is my tele's cherry sunburst. (And there are great color options for every taste.) Unfortunately, the first case that was shipped to me had some flaws in the exterior stitching... Not sure why that got through Fender's quality control, but GC quickly replaced the problem case and I'm very pleased. A quality case is well worth the peace of mind over your instrumental investment.

I bought the tweed/red plush version of this case thinking it is the perfect complement to my Stratocaster. The first one I received required force to close the right latch. On top of that, if the case was bumped on that end, the latch would pop open on its own. Thanks to the guys at my local Guitar Center, I got an exchange. Unfortunately the next one had a lid with a 1/4" overlap when closed. I told the GC guys once again I am not happy with the case and that I just can't let this cosmetic flaw go, as I know it would always bother me. So they ordered me one for the 3rd time. This time I am happy with it, however, it would be nice to get some gas money for all the trips I took to make sure I was satisfied. Overall you will not regret this case if you want extra room inside and that cool vintage look. Just make sure you do your own quality control (I am shocked that these bad cases got through their QC department, if they even have one) within 30 days as it is not an inexpensive case by any means, and you should demand the best.

I purchased a tweed case for my Strat and it didn't work out, so I decided to buy a more expensive case. I think the difference in quality between the tweed case and this one is night and day. This case is made by the G & G company for Fender and all I can say is their workmanship is excellent. The stitching on the outside is very well done. The inside has a metal name plate with the G & G brand on it a nice touch. I think that a company that displays there name prominently on their product tells me they take pride in their work and it shows in this case. I am happy with this case and would buy another one again in a heartbeat.
Wow all I can say is that this case is awesome. I had purchased a case from the Fender Pro Series and had to take it back to Guitar Center. I had to pay a little more money for this case about thirty bucks but the difference in cases is amazing. This case is made by the G & G company here in the United States their emblem appears inside. The hardware is great it locks well and the stitching on this case is superb. You can tell this case is a quality piece just pulling it out of the box it is real heavy as a well case should be. I might have to buy one of these for my Tele as well. Great buy. Awesome company G & G that makes these for Fender.
It locks, it's tough, and is soft on the inside. Has enough room for straps, tuners, strings and chords in an inside compartment. I have always hated putting equipment through TSA because they don't know how to handle your expensive stuff and they scratch, dent, and deface anything that is expensive. But I'm not worried about this. P.S. Keep the key in your pocket just to be prepared for the scenario of them wanting to open it on the spot. Overall, I believe it's ready to be tested by the idiots (who actually have an important job)at the Transportation Security Administration in America.
The first one of these cases I ordered didn't close properly. The lid was not centered to the bottom of the case and you had to "push" on the lid to try to get it to latch. I took it back and they ordered a second case for me without any headaches... ... and this second case is perfect! Just make sure you close your new case and test the latching hardware BEFORE you take the case home! Blessings! Will,
I went through a number of case choices/purchases for my newly purchased, slightly-used Strat. After purchasing and returning the same Gator Hard box 4 times, because of its inferior construction and because it wasn't as described on the website, I was SO relieved to finally make an exchange and work out a deal on price with Guitar Center on this beauty. It is PERFECT: Beautiful classic Fender box stylings, with contrasting stitching, reinforced corners, and a solid construction and high end hardware. And a cozy, soft interior, complete with a secure cradle for the Strat and plenty of room to store strings and asst'd gear. Thank you, Fender!
Just got a "black" tweed and red plush interior case for my Standard Tele in brown sunburst. Perfect match. The black tweed is actually just tweed not the grey shade but rather the tan. Just what I was hoping it was going to be. the picture is the correct style/color. The case is beautiful. Fits the Tele like a glove. GC is the best. They took back the Fender Pro Series case I had order in black. It was just a box with lining, no padding and a loose fit. Pay the extra $20-30 for this case, you will be happy.
Bought one of these for my American Tele in black tweed. Case looks great and seems to be well made with lots of room inside for extras. My only complaint is the body fits good but the notch for the neck to rest in doesn't line up perfectly with the neck and doesn't support the neck at all. The neck is allowed to move around and it worries me about being damaged if dropped or warped from the top pressing down on it when closed. Hopefully this won't be the case. I haven't seen any other reviews talking about this so I'm wondering if I just happened to get one that's defective or if they all fit like this. Am debating on sending it back and trying another to see if it has the same problem. If anyone else has experienced this problem please let me know.
Just got this case for my Vintage Ash Blonde FSR Strat. The case is brown with gold interior. It's as beautiful as the guitar. I was a little concerned about quality control issues from reading the reviews. Have no fear...This vintage style G&G case is flawless. GC's price is awesome.
The original RR case I purchased with my Strat had to be returned as it had a quality issue. My local GC rep, Michael Metsch, and I started looking for a better case for my guitar. We ordered the case for store delivery so the GC crew could give it a good check over. The case was well packed, and was 100% when they looked it over. This case was a bit of an investment, but well worth the price. It fits the Strat nicely and has more than enough on board storage bin (with a lid which a lot of today cases lack). If you are looking for a case worthy of your Strat, this is it.
Pro: Looks awesome; Strat fits nicely; great storage for cords, picks, tuners; seems durable (see below note) Con: Clasps seem cheap (when releasing the locking clasps I have to slide the latch and then pull on the clasp. It should pop open when you slide the spring loaded latch); heavy. I would recommend this case, but do keep the latch issue in mind.
