OK, first things first...I read umpteen reviews on this guitar. Those ranging from "don't waste your time" to "sweet little guitar" ,and everything in between. Let me tell you what I think. I just got this guitar yesterday, as a present from my wife. It's the guitar "I" wanted , even after all the negative reviews I've read over the past month or so. This thing does have a real, I mean "real" thin sound unamplified. Plugged in you get a little better, thicker sound. I bought this guitar for one thing. Songwriting. It serves it purpose very well. An for all you electric heads out there, plug this into an overdriven amp, and see what this thing will deliver!!! Nasty distorted tone..To me it was a very good purchase. Great to pick up quick and jam, & write with. Gnarly distorted sounds when overdriven.....I recommend it. The fit and finish on mine was great for the $$$$ range.....I would get another one if I had to...........Plus its cool as hell lookin'...

Bought this guitar online, BRAND NEW.. mailed in yesterday. Its is an Ok guitar,Beautiful Looking thangg.. but maybe my baby wasnt the best made though.. crafted in china, and not made of wood.. kinda blew me off a bit. Its nowhere sounding as great as an original acousitc. (most arnt) but the way it was crafted was just horrible. Neck is literally somewhat looking to a curving bridge, the strings are off starting from the 2nd fret making the neck feel uncomfortable.. BUT this this does sound amazing when pluged in.. Its only advantage. A bit dissapointed to be honest coming from a Fender Guitar, I wouldnt recommend this guitar but If your all up for it, GO FOR IT!! - Not the best "Bang for your Buck"

LOVE IT

By brian

from WASHINGTON CROSSING PA

I PREFER A SLIMLINE ACOUSTIC/ELECTRIC FOR ON STAGE USE SO I AM USED TO THE SMALLER SOUND THAT THEY GIVE UNPLUGGED. THIS GUITAR ARRIVED QUICKLY AND THE ACTION WAS HIGH AS EXPECTED. AFTER REMOVING THE NECK AND CUTTING A CREDIT CARD AND PUTTING IT UNDER THE 2 SCREWS CLOSEST TO THE BODY( THIS CHANGES THE NECK ANGLE) AND SAWING THE BRIDGE DOWN A BIT I BROUGHT THE ACTION DOWN AND IT IS NOW A VERY FAST PLAYING ACOUSTIC. THE GUITAR ITSELF IS GREAT LOOKING AND THE NECK NEEDED NO ADJUSTMENT. THE GUITAR UNPLUGGED SOUNDS BRIGHT AND DOES NOT GIVE THE RESONANCE THAT YOU GET WITH A FULL BODIED ACOUSTIC BUT IT HAS A GOOD SOUND AND I FIND THAT WHEN I AM STRUMMING AND ANOTHER ACOUSTIC IS PLAYING SINGLE NOTES, LEAD OR PICKING, I'M AT THE RIGHT VOLUME. MY PLAYING STYLE IS KIND OF PERCUSSIVE SO I'M NOT REALLY LOOKING FOR THAT FULL ACOUSTIC SOUND BUT ONCE YOU PLUG AN INSTRUMENT IN YOU CAN GET WHATEVER SOUND YOU WANT FROM IT. I PLAY THIS THROUGH A PA SYSTEM AND IT SOUNDS GREAT FOR MY PURPOSES. YOU MAY WANT TO ADD A CHORUS EFFECT IF YOU WANT THE DREADNAUGHT SOUND. OVERALL THIS IS A FINE LITTLE GUITAR AND WITH A LITTLE LOVE AND PATIENCE YOU CAN GET A GREAT FEELING INSTRUMENT AT AN EXCELLENT PRICE JUST DON'T EXPECT IT TO SOUND LIKE AN EXPENSIVE ACOUSTIC UNPLUGGED.

Unusual Guitar Body but It's a keeper!

By jim broyles

from North Georgia

Good for small hands as stated by other reviewers.Quiet compared to otherguitars of this category when played as an acoustic. That works for me as I like the fact it quiet when I want it to be but plug it in and it makes all the noise my family can stand. Nice features especially the built in tuner. The only thing you might be surprised by is that the face is the only wood on the body, the sides and back are some type of mottled plastic composite. Not too attractive from backside but it makes it easier to knock around without sscratces, dings, etc. Good adddition for a beginners or extra guitar.

Excellent, light weight, and small neck!

By edward aronson

from Virginia Beach, Virginia

The Telecoustic is exactly what I was looking for. I have small hands and like to sit and do finger exercises after the family has retired for the night. I like the smaller body and the neck is exactly what I needed. The feel is great and I am completely satisfied with the guitar.

Surprising Amplified

By Dr J

from fort myers fl

I've owned this guy for over a year now and you really can't go wrong for the $$. The small size and fiberglass body give a pretty lousy dry sound but it is small, good for travel and loud enough for practice. I amplify it through a Fishman SA220 and it really wakes up into a great little stage acoustic. The difference between the amplified and dry sound is remarkable. It is notorious for high action out of the box. I had the saddle knocked down across all strings before I left the GC, I'm told this is SOP for this guitar.

Great axe

By Patrick T.

from Northport, Ny

Overall great guitar. I was a bit sceptical at first after seeing that it's not made out of wood, but it's really a great guitar. Sounds great plugged in and acousticly. The equalizer on the guitar is really great for shaping sounds, the versitility packed into this thing is incredible. The best part about it is that it still has some classic "tele twang" you'd expect from a telecaster, with the added shimmering acoustic sounds. Great buy, would reccomend to anyone of all genres of music.

Decent Axe, for the Price

By booseman90

from Carlisle, PA

While this guitar is not the greatest in the world, it is a good buy for the price. I bought the guitar a few years ago when it was more expensive, and I have always liked playing it. It has a very nice blend of electric and acoustic tones, with an electric feel. The guitar does not sound very good when plugged in (especially if you hit the overdrive), but I think that most players will play it unplugged 90% of the time anyway. This is a fine guitar for its price range.

Great Value for the Money

By Kent

from Oklahoma City, OK

This is an excellent instrument for my needs. As said before it is not a performance guitar. It has a decent sound and very good neck. I carry it in my motorhome so its size is perfect. The very durable synthetic body is a plus. I would recommend it to anyone for a practice guitar.

Great deal

By Ted

from Richmond, VA

I've always played electric and have smallish hands. This guitar is great for me because the action is similar to an electric. Like other reviews say, the sound isn't as full as a traditional acoustic, but I usually play when my two small children are in bed, so this isn't a drawback for me. And it does sound beautiful amplified. I can't imagine a better guitar for the price.

nice little guitar

By Kevin Whittington

from St.louis MO

I just want to say this is a nice guitar. I went to an open mic with my wife and the next day wanted a nice electric acustic for my collection. I already have two feder squire guitars. I love the action on them.I figured why not it will be just like what I am used to already. I love the sound when this guitar is plugged in my buds from open mic love the way it sounds too. I get copmlaments on how it looks every time I do open mic to.It was a sound investment for the money and I would recemend it to all. The only down fall I can see was that I could not find a hard shell case for it but I am still looking.Other then that it rocks.
