As a player of Tele's for most of my guitar playing life, I bought this due to the eye catching paint job. Yes, it has that classic Tele sound. The maple fretboard and neck feel comfortable and fast. It feels a little heavier than my other Tele's, which I attribute to the paint job. But let's be honest and acknowledge a simple truth...you buy this guitar because it looks awesome. Mine was frankly much more eye catching than the picture above. I have a lot more of the blue and less of the gray/silver. You know you have a winner when you take it to the local Guitar Center, pop open the case and within 30 seconds every person in the store is gawking, including the sales people and manager. It was set up almost perfectly right out of the box. Only one thing kept me from rating it 5 stars. The finish had a few issues. These were quickly fixed by the Guitar Center Technician. But it was still disappointing that the guitar made it through Fender's quality control with those issues.
