Comments about Fender Standard Telecaster Satin Electric Guitar:
I played one of these at a local guitar shop in my area (my local GC had none in-store) and l was blown away. The finish is not satin so much as it is dull metallic. The one I played was Arizona Sun. The color in person had the same tone as the tolex on an Orange amp/cab/head. I played it through a genuine 1960's Twin Reverb and it sounded just like an American made Tele. As a matter of fact, the playability and sound were so good that if you closed your eyes and were handed both an American Standard and this guitar, you couldn't tell the difference. In fact, you might like this one a little better. I liked the guitar so much that I waited until GC was offering 18 month financing again before I bought one, which was on Friday. I ordered it from GC online and should have my guitar next week. I went with the Flame Orange, as it is more orange than red as depicted in the stock photos you see online and on the GC and Fender sites. I will review my guitar once I have it in hand and play it for a month or so.
