The Fender Standard Telecaster FSR Ash Electric Guitar combines the best of the old and new. Fender equips this Tele with vintage noiseless single-coil pickups, shielded body cavities, medium jumbo frets, cast/sealed machine heads and a 6-saddle string-thru-body bridge. The vintage noiseless Telecaster pickups offer sound like a '60s Tele's without the 60-cycle buzz. They're made with the same Fender technology as the noiseless Strat pickups, but are voiced for traditional Telecaster tone. Special Alnico 5 magnets and enamel coated magnet wire along with Fender's Noiseless technology produce a uniquely quiet vintage sound.

The Fender Tele's neck pickup has a nickel-silver cover for added clarity, while the bridge pickup produces the traditional twang you'd expect from a Fender Standard Telecaster. Each guitar pickup sports a very stylish Fender Noiseless logo. New features on this classically cool Telecaster guitar include a tinted neck and a '70s-style logo. Fender includes a standard gig bag with the FSR Ash Telecaster. Since its introduction in the early '50s, professionals in all musical genres have relied on the Fender Telecaster for its powerful tone and smooth playability. Why not join them?

Wonderful sound

By Tyronne

from Massachusetts

My first Telecaster. Had been looking at them for a while but was looking for this color and it seemed that only paying much much more would I be able to afford one. Happened to see the add for this on the web page and just fell in love with the looks and the price! Ordered one up and a week later tried it out. Boy not only does it look stunning it sounds it too! Wonderful 'twang' sound from the pups even though I was a little nervous based on other reviews that the "noiseless" pups tended to sound sterile. I did not hear that at all. Very happy with the sound and haven't put the thing down in over a week! I'd say if you can't afford the '52 reissue or Artist series and want something better than the Standard and like the looks of this butterscotch blonde, get this while it's around. It's a FSR model so it won't be around for long. With a little haggling you can get the price down too.

Very Happy, great value !

By Matthew

This is my first Tele and unless I spent 2x as much I don't think I could have gotten a better tele. The first time I played it, I couldn't believe the feel and sound comming from this guitar. From warm to biting. The neck is very smooth and fast, a thin U shaped wonder. The guitar arrived well packed and nicely set up. The only complaint I have is after three times playing it the chrome plating on the control plate started to curl off, I called GC and they sent me a new control plate within a few days. The guitar is about 8-8.5 lbs. It looks great, plays fast and Vintage Noiseless PU are hot. I may replace them someday with Fralins but they are very good for now. The pick ups take pedals very well. I play through a Hot Rod Deluxe or Carr Rambler and this tele sounds great out of either one. I will never sell this guitar, that should say it all. Buy this Tele you won't be dissapointed.

Ash FSR Telecaster

By Kurt Lembcke

from Elkhorn,Wisconsin

What a wonderful instrument! First guitar I've bought in 32 years & a very good choice. Plays like a dream & well-made,as anyone would expect from Fender. I recommend this particular issue to any serious player. Order soon as it's a limited run. One bit of advise,though-be sure to do a full set-up. Specs are on under tech support. If you're not confident, have it done by a reputable tech. It is crucial on any quality instrument.

very surprised

By Al Albanese

I have always played American Strats and bought this Tele as a back up guitar. I have found it to be a solid guitar with plenty of tone variations and now instead of a back up to the Strat it has become an important part of my music. This is a very good piece for anyone from an amature to an avid player.

I got mine yesterday and I?m in love with that mexican babe already!! Classic tele sound, the butterscotch blonde finish is timeless, and it plays great. I love the neck woodwork, I own an American DLX strat, and I think it?s actually better in this one rather than the american-made. A couple minor flaws, though. First off, I think they could have done better with the edges of the frets, ?cause they feel a little rough. You won?t get your fingers cut, but my american-made strat feels waaaaaay smoother, so I guess it has to do with mexican quality checks. Secondly, it has a couple tiny paint excess stains near to the neck joint. It?s no big deal, but again I?m sure that wouldn?t have passed the american QC. Other than that it?s a killer guitar, astonishing sound, great looks and she plays so smooth and easy. Hurry up and grab one before they sell out!!

Can't Wait!

I gave this Telecaster 5 stars, based upon its looks alone. I love it, I think it's beautiful. I will try to remember to write another review once we have used it. I bought this for my husband's 50th birthday which is not until May 8th. He is going to love it.

Excellent Guitar for the Money

By Dale Mastrull

from Hillsborough, N.J.

I'm REALLY satisfied with mine. I got it over a week ago, and have been playing the hell out of it. The Noiseless Pickups are not quite as noiseless as my Strat with the Kinman's, but they'll suffice. All my other Guitars have Rosewood Fretboards, and I love this Maple one. The Pickups have a nice "Growl" to them, not too "Twangy" as I expected. Between the neck, the overall sound and the finish,(I have White Blond) I'm really satisfied. This Guitar is a great value for the price. If you're a Rock, Blues type person this Guitar will work great for you.
