I own a Gibson Les Paul, and I was not a Fender fan. I tried the strat and nothing. But one day I got a tele and it turned me. The neck pick up has a deep and rich tone for those nice blues licks or thick chunk distorted rock chords. The bridge pick up has a nice twang and bightness to it that is not disturbing, pretty nice to play lead rock licks. The maple neck is fast and this guitar is just an over-all comfort to play. I truely recommend this guitar. You get your money's worth. Go out and try one today.

Comments about Fender Standard Telecaster Electric Guitar:

This is a lot of guitar for the money. I'm a Gibson guy but wanted something different. Build quality is fine. The Candy Apple Red is much darker in person than on line. It looks great and pays well, just missing the solid feel of the $1099 USA Telecaster. But you pick your price point and go from there. If I didn't already have a Les Paul, I would have ponied up the extra $500 and got the US version. That being said, this one works just fine for me.

fell in love with read in a review that the guitar chose them. Felt that way with. My wife cried because it reminded her of how I felt with the 72. A bit heavy but what a tone, forget where I am when I play it

Comments about Fender Standard Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I have been playing a Strat for almost 30 years so I decided to try a Gretsch. My easy playing Strat had me spoiled and I couldn't get used to the action and feel of the Gretsch so I returned it. I purchased an arctic white MIM Telecaster and it is the best guitar I have ever owned or played. I guess I have learned that I am a Fender guy all the way.

Comments about Fender Standard Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I purchased this Telecaster at a Guitar Center location. I tried several Teles and Strats, but this one just felt perfect. Fantastic neck. The frets are smooth. The brownburst finish is simply beautiful. I will say that this is the heaviest guitar I own. I could imagine the weight of the guitar might put some people off.

Running through a 6505 amp I'm able to get very solid thrash metal tones and clean traditional tele tones as well. If you've ever considered getting a tele you can't go wrong with this one.

Comments about Fender Standard Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I have played for over 50 years and professionally for over 25. I have repaired and setup guitars for that long as well. In my humble opinion, if you don't have the money to afford the American Standard Tele or above, properly setup these guitars are great and very well made. I can recommend them to just about anyone.

Comments about Fender Standard Telecaster Electric Guitar:

This is a great guitar for a relatively low cost. Before I bought this guitar, I had never really thought about getting a telecaster but then I saw this tele online, did some research and purchased it (without even playing one first). I must say I have yet to be disappointed. This is a versatile guitar that feels great, sounds great and looks killer. Its great for rock, blues, reggae and hard rock. I plug this into my Marshall DSL and the tones is get are unbelievable. Playing red house by Hendrix or killing in the name of by Rage Against The Machine have never felt so good. I feel bad because since I bought this guitarI have been neglecting my Gibson Sg and Mexican Strat but hey, this guitar is the awesome!

Comments about Fender Standard Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I had been looking for a nice Tele for a very long time. I came across the Sunburst Standard Telecaster at GC and it was love at first pluck. The tones are definitely Telecaster stuff.

It plays quite easily. The frets are nice and smooth. The pickups are very responsive. I have several guitars, but this is one that I always go for when jamming around the house. I have really enjoyed this sweet guitar.

I have got to express my gratitude to Guitar Center for this offering. It was marked down to at such a ridiculous discount because I purchased it during their Guitar A Thon Event. There are tons of wonderful deals at GC during that event. Thanks GC. I'm so glad I got this instrument.
