Very nice guitar

By RICK WEAVER

from Bethlehem, PA

Comments about Fender Standard Stratocaster Plus Top Maple Fingerboard Electric Guitar:

I am a fairly new guitar player. I have bought and sold more Fender Strat MIM's than I care to count. This is without a doubt the best looking guitar of the bunch. It is absolutely breathtaking. I had a 40-year strat player that owns a local guitar repair shop look it over and he was extremely impressed. The guitar needed a little neck straightening which was just the turn of the truss rod. But my (and his) real issue was that the pickups were just not that great. I have had some MIM's come with the standard pickups and they sounded ok. Just never know what you're going to get with stock pickups on the MIM's. I bought Fender Vintage Noiseless pickups and had my guy install them. Now it sounds just fabulous. I am happy with this purchase but wish the pickups would have been better. Gorgeous guitar!

Beautiful instrument and plays really nice

By William

Comments about Fender Standard Stratocaster Plus Top Maple Fingerboard Electric Guitar:

This is my first Strat, so I have been pretty excited about adding that sound to my playing. (I've been playing a '76 Les Paul Standard and a '99 Epiphone Sheraton II.) I'm buddies with a guy at the GC shop and when it came in we checked it out together and there was nothing needing adjusting right out of the box. The finish on this model is very nice. No flaws or blems. My band had a 3 hour practice today and I just used the Strat and loved it. Weight and balance are fantastic. Love the Les Paul, but it's a heavy guitar. There is every chance right now that I'll make this my primary gig guitar.

Amazing

By Trever

from Iowa

Comments about Fender Standard Stratocaster Plus Top Maple Fingerboard Electric Guitar:

This was my first Fender and I bought it 'blemished' for nearly 70 bucks off, there's not a single thing wrong with it. Absolutely beautiful guitar AND it sounds great. Set up perfectly right out of the box. I added a roller string tree, and it stays in tune very well now, even with tremolo use. But I will still be adding locking tuners just because.

Comments about Fender Standard Stratocaster Plus Top Maple Fingerboard Electric Guitar:

I was looking for an HSS guitar at my local GC. No disappointment here. Looks, plays and sounds great. This is my third Strat and the most versatile with the HSS configuration.
Been playing for over four decades so it takes a lot to get my attention. I own Les Paul, SG, PRS Santana, Telecaster and two other Strats. All of which are AWSOME guitars. Each have their own vibe and the Plus Top Strat fits right in. Highly recommend. Fit, finish and function are just right for any style.

Comments about Fender Standard Stratocaster Plus Top Maple Fingerboard Electric Guitar:

I bought this model two years ago and it is my go-to. Plays like a dream. Supple and very comfortable. Highly recommend. Like all strats, right hand has a tendency to bump into the volume knob and pickup selector switch while playing, which can be annoying but still a small problem.

Comments about Fender Standard Stratocaster Plus Top Maple Fingerboard Electric Guitar:

I have owned over a hundred guitars in the last 45 years, but never a Strat. I bought it to help with my voice therapy. I could not just do vocal scales, but was ok singing along which turned into Jamming and so on. I still talk like the Godfather, but playing this guitar is therapy on it's own.

Comments about Fender Standard Stratocaster Plus Top Maple Fingerboard Electric Guitar:

So I may be a novice, I've only been playing for about two years, but this Strat is everything that my 70s Black Beauty Les Paul copy isn't. No fret buzz, no muddies in the pickups, no buzz in the electric parts, good switch and jack, and amazing pickups. I was waiting to replace these pickups with Tex-Mex or SSL-1's depending on which ones tone floated my boat, but for some reason the stock ceramics do exactly what I want. The guitar exudes 70s Clapton and SRV and has the single most beautiful flame maple top ive ever seen. It is not nearly as weak/faded as the one in the picture displayed above, the cherryburst finish as well is much more prominent. It looks like water, yet not a quilt top. Buy this!!!
