Amazing

By

from Iowa

Comments about Fender Standard Stratocaster Plus Top, Maple Fingerboard:

This was my first Fender and I bought it 'blemished' for nearly 70 bucks off, there's not a single thing wrong with it. Absolutely beautiful guitar AND it sounds great. Set up perfectly right out of the box. I added a roller string tree, and it stays in tune very well now, even with tremolo use. But I will still be adding locking tuners just because.

Beautiful instrument and plays really nice

Comments about Fender Standard Stratocaster Plus Top, Maple Fingerboard:

This is my first Strat, so I have been pretty excited about adding that sound to my playing. (I've been playing a '76 Les Paul Standard and a '99 Epiphone Sheraton II.) I'm buddies with a guy at the GC shop and when it came in we checked it out together and there was nothing needing adjusting right out of the box. The finish on this model is very nice. No flaws or blems. My band had a 3 hour practice today and I just used the Strat and loved it. Weight and balance are fantastic. Love the Les Paul, but it's a heavy guitar. There is every chance right now that I'll make this my primary gig guitar.

Very nice guitar

Comments about Fender Standard Stratocaster Plus Top, Maple Fingerboard:

I am a fairly new guitar player. I have bought and sold more Fender Strat MIM's than I care to count. This is without a doubt the best looking guitar of the bunch. It is absolutely breathtaking. I had a 40-year strat player that owns a local guitar repair shop look it over and he was extremely impressed. The guitar needed a little neck straightening which was just the turn of the truss rod. But my (and his) real issue was that the pickups were just not that great. I have had some MIM's come with the standard pickups and they sounded ok. Just never know what you're going to get with stock pickups on the MIM's. I bought Fender Vintage Noiseless pickups and had my guy install them. Now it sounds just fabulous. I am happy with this purchase but wish the pickups would have been better. Gorgeous guitar!
