Usually, you get reviews of a just bought instrument while the honeymoons phase is on, and sometimes those aren't too accurate due to buyers remorse, or over happiness in the instrument without long term usage.

MY MiM standard is now 6 yrs old and is just as playable, maybe more than when it was new. The neck is the DEAL on these guitars. I have multiple strats and this one is the only "import" yet plays better than it's American cousins by a long shot.

Mine has the rose neck and it is a thing of beauty play wise. The ceramic pickups aren't everyones taste, but they suit me just fine.

It's arctic white, now going yellow which I was surprised at, but I live in Hawaii and play outdoors alot.

I've checked out this guitar from stem to stern and have found no glaring construction faults or QC items, if it had them, they caught and corrected them.

I would recommend this to beginners, and pro's alike for a guitar that is not going to break the banks, plays and more importantly sounds as stratty as any other and at the present pre 2007 pricing, you cannot go wrong with this guitar.

Fit finish and craftmanship is no worse than my American made guitars, I do know that components are slightly less quality to meet price point, however, after countless hours of play, everything is solid, and tight. Simply a great guitar at a great price if you want a strat and aren't put off by it's origin.

I must admit, I bought this with the intention of doing a bunch of modification. The Lake Placid blue is just an amazing color but I never see it in stores so I had to special order it. The first one came in with a big gouge in the finish, sent it back, the second one was OK. I played the stock setup for about a half hour, the electronics are not horrible but certainly not pro quality. I replaced the pickups with Seymour Duncan vintage alnico's, junked the white pick guard for a black pearl one and eliminated one of the tone knobs so now it has one volume and one tone, the top knob on strats always gets in my way when playing and I really like this change. Fender doesn't seem to do any setup these days, the truss rod wasn't even snugged down, just left loose. The action and intonation were in the ballpark but needed work. I had a pro setup done and now it's a great guitar, looks way better with the black pick guard. I've seen guys play these in stock condition and sound good, I just wanted to try out these mods and I must say, it worked better than I expected.

Comments about Fender Standard Stratocaster Electric Guitar with Rosewood Fretboard:

I have several MIM Fenders, including a 2013 MIM Strat. This one seems better than the rest. The satin neck is a big improvement over the glossy necks of the past. The rosewood fretboard is very dark and looks great. Set up was near perfect out of the box. Sounds great too. I'm really happy with this one.

Comments about Fender Standard Stratocaster Electric Guitar with Rosewood Fretboard:

I own both Gibsons and Fender guitars I have a couple of American Standards that are great... Yes, they are a little bit better, but no way that this is sinply a begginers guitar. If it had better electronics, like the fat 50's pickups you get with the 1,300 dlls model it wouod be a perfect guitar, but still sounds tremendous... Those people that say fret buzz, weak sound, probably have never owned a strat before... Strats have a more vintage si gle coils style output, definitely not as strong as a humbucker guitar...

I gotta tell ya... I wish I had bought 2 Made in Mexico Fenders than 1 American Standard.... I dare anybody to notice the difference in apparience, or the difference in playeability in a blindfold test.... this is the real deal!!!
Same quality control and specs as any other fender guitar... It's just made in Mexico and trust me, the factory in Corona Ca. Is filled with Mexican workers anyways....

American has slightly better elecronics , that are easily upgradeable ... Get this guitar!!! You will not regret it.... If you've never owned a strat before and buy a 1,300 american standard you might regret it.... Only for people that know what comes with owning a strat...

Comments about Fender Standard Stratocaster Electric Guitar with Rosewood Fretboard:

I use this to practice and play along with backing tracks. Sounds great through headphones of an amp. Occasional fret buzz you can hear acoustically but not electronically - could just be my playing.

Great craftsmanship. The color combo, Lake Placid Blue with Rosewood fretboard, is not something you see all the time.

I love the satin neck and feel. Frets are just right. Best of all I can make barre chords with ease. Great balance and easy to play. What more can you ask for.
Classic strat sound on the pickups, I never use a Trem so I don't know how that affects tuning.
Great guitar, great price. Thank you Guitar Center Greensboro.

I love everything abou this guitar except for the ding and chip on the back of the lower horn. Guessing it was a UPS screw up. Was kinda upset but it wasn't worth send itack and hoping for an in damaged one weeks later. Didn't affect the sound or playability and you can't see it from the front. Other than that it is a sweet guitar and I recommend anyone getting one. Just might want to buy one in a store
