Great Bass

Comments about Fender Standard Jazz Bass V 5-String Bass Guitar:

I bought this bass about 6 months ago. This is a great bass and I have been most certainly happy with it. The tones are very warm, it has great action and comes with a .135 gauge "B" string which doesn't seem like a big difference from the .130 but on this guitar really generates a lot of bottom. I've always bought the Fender American standards but thought I would take a chance on the Mexico built 5 string as I didn't know how well I would adapt to a 5 string from a 4 string. The transition took me about 6 months to really get comfortable with it and I'll have to say for the money I spent on this Jazz bass I am extremely happy. I don't have the buzz in mine was described in a previous review. Mine is very quite. If you're looking for a great 5 string bass, want good quality and don't want to spend a ton of money this is a great option. I would highly recommend this bass.

dissapointed

Comments about Fender Standard Jazz Bass V 5-String Bass Guitar:

There is a buzzing in the tone nob, straight out of the case. It was a total Nightmare just after even ordering this Bass, Guitar center messed up my order and delivery and I sat around sweatting about it, I needed a bass that I could take on the road and take the road abuse and I just got it In a few hours before I left for Nashville TN, when I was suppossed to get days earlier, not nearly enough time to get familiar with this rig. I think my days with guitar center may be done, bieng in a nashville Band on the road I need some one to take special care of my needs and want, someone who will appreciate the money I have to spend there.
