not bad, but not good either

By Eric

from fairfield, ca

Well I'll make this short and simple, its a great product, its as easy as gripping it and changing keys, bad thing is that it broke on me in the middle of a gig, overall good product but not high quality.

This is a good capo.

By Brock

from Miami, Florida

No need to go out and spend a lot of money on a pricey capo when this one is only ten bucks! This capo does exactly what a good capo should do. It's easy to use and I don't get any buzzing when I strum the guitar. A five out of five.

Easy, Fast, Safe

By James Clow

from Dublin, OH

Love the Fender Spring Capo. Hearing now that tweaked some features the first batch was missing. Now the tubing goes around the whole thing making it completely safe for my guitar finish. It's also fast enough that I don't have trouble between changing songs. In my opinion it's the best capo for the price.

Spare another couple bucks

By Adam

from Maine

I really only recieved bad expirences with this capo, first it wouldnt hold down strings on even my lowest action guitar, not without fret buzz, then I put up with it cuz i couldnt afford to go get a new one, then it started turning so the top and the bottom bars warnt alligned making it worse, the rubber started falling off, and eventualy just pushed back one day well i was throwing it on my brand new guitar, scratched a huge line all the way around the back of my third fret, at which point i retired it, and bought a kyser? and it works so much better, and for only a few bucks a more, plus my new one will stay on the headstock well i'm not playing the fender spring capo you'd have to take off set down loose find again and then tolerate the wretchedness all over again. Overall it's just a huge hassel, spend a few more bucks, it'll save you on advil expenses.

Capo with side affects

By Julian Fonseca

from Chicago

When I first bought this capo I really liked it because of the style, the price, and brand( come on who doesn't like Fender?). Anyways Fender succeeded in making something that is easy to put on the guitar but this capo tore a lot of the wood from the neck and the headstock of my guitar. Also, the rubber on the capo is starting to tear and I haven't even had the capo for a month. This capo was disappointing! I would recommend another capo if you are an active guitarist.

Ruined my neck!

By PirateSteve

from Maine

I bought this capo because I wanted to expirament with different keys without having to retune every three seconds, and I didnt wanna front the four extra bucks for a good one, BAD IDEA! It worked for a little while, then i starting get buzzes from the capo not pushing down far enough, Then the rubber started falling off, the metal started bending so it was miss aligned when closed, and then i went to put it on my brand new telecoustic, the second day i had it, i put it on my third fret and i pulled it off reveling a huge grove from where the rubber got pushed back and the metal was expossed, now i have a nasty reminder of my cheapness, I replaced it faster then a pop singer replaces her husband after that incident. SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY!

Pretty average capo

By don't_go_on_me

from Minnesota

It is what it is... A simple, easy to change-on-the-fly capo from Fender. There are better capos out there but this does the trick for me. Like I mentioned, this capo is extremely easy and quick to change positions anywhere on the neck. For me, that's all I need for the limited amount I use a capo. However, I do get some buzzing from time to time and have to make some adjustments before everything ringing clear. Also, the durability of this capo is in question because it is so light and small, I'm not sure how long the spring would hold up through heavy use. Like I commented above, for me this capo is all I need. I use is sparingly and have had it for a couple years. However, If you're a heavy capo user, you may want to look elsewhere.

It works, but there are better

By Brian1711

from Wickliffe, OH

I decided to buy the Fender capo because it was a good price and it seemed easy enough to use. It has done well enough since I began using it, but after a while the rubber around one of the poles that closes on the neck began to split. Overall, the quality on this item is not the best. I would recommend getting something else.
