great fun, cheap guitar

By john oberto

from boston, am

i have this guitar in sea foam green. i love the vintage 60's color. while i'm dreaming about owning a martin this guitar is so fun to play and is quite attractive in it's quarky way. it's very playable with a smooth rosewood neck. it has a nice warm sound for the bucks. it's great for a beginner or someone who's looking for a fun, playable guitar. i'm able to take it anywhere and not worry about it too much. i wasn't looking for an accoustic with a pickup but it's definately a plus. the tuners are a little on the cheap side but they work ok. i'm not sure that you can upgrade them too easily due to the vintage fender small holes for them.

Fender Sonoran Acoustic

By James Heberling

from Monona, WI

Looking for my first guitar I talked to a lot of people, visited many guitar stores and read many reviews on line about a number of guitars. I narrowed it down to two, the Fender being one of them. Three things I was told that beginners look for in a guitar, looks, feel, and sound. You have to like the looks so you want to take it out of the case and play it. It has to feel good in your hands and it has to sound good. The Fender Sonoran Acoustic has all three. The Strat̴ guitar headstock makes it the coolest acoustic around and you can not beat the sound for the price. I listened to more expensive guitars that did not sound any better than the Sonoran. Fender looks with Fender quality. It does not get any better than that.
