An outstanding equalization section on this amp-plenty of different, useable tones. Low end for days. The overdrive is very good-can dial in just a small amount of grit or full on overdriven tone. And, you can switch that overdrive on and off via an optional footswitch. The key to getting this amp to push some serious air is to turn the low end down and the master volume up. Then, slowly roll the low EQ up until the amp starts clipping. If you're looking for a great rehearsal/small gig amp look no further. Don't let the Rumble branding fool you. This is a GREAT amp for what is what designed to do, and the price point it's offered at.

So when i played this amp in store, it sounded great. Instantly fell in love with it because i dont need a louyd amp. so i bought it, played with about 3 weeks, and never turned it up above 8. then i slowly started hearing a crackle while having it louder than 5 or 6. now its to the point where it is almost unplayable. I figure its some cheap made speaker and im sure when i get a new and better speaker that it will kick once again, but its annoying that i have to replace it. i like everything except the speaker. if you do buy this, play quiet or plan on replacing the speaker.

NICE LITTLE PACKAGE

By EV

Comments about Fender Rumble 75 75W 1x12 Bass Combo Amp:

Nice combo. I was looking for a bit of power and punch, since I play with two guitar players with a LOUD drummer. Some combo equipment just can't hold up that type of band. On the pic, the Fender looks tiny and it is not, it is not huge either but it is heavy. Tilt back feautre is nice option. I have a cheap Ibanez bass guitar and it sounds really good with this amp. Love it!

Step up

Comments about Fender Rumble 75 75W 1x12 Bass Combo Amp:

I started out with a 15 watt amp. That fell apart and my abnd had shows coming up. I needed something loud, durbale ,good looking and light . This was it , its cheap , can pull off gigs, pretty light for its amount of watts coming out. Way better tone then my old amp and i love the tilt back design.

Best Under $300

By Stephen

from Los Angeles, CA

Comments about Fender Rumble 75 75W 1x12 Bass Combo Amp:

I was in the market for a new bass amp to treat myself for the holidays. My price limit was $300 & I spent hours demoing all of the bass amps GC had for this price. I tried the Ampeg BA 112 and 115, Acoustic B100 and 260 mini stack, and this Fender Rumble 75. I didn't go with the Ampeg's because the 112 and 115 make an annoying pop noise every time I turned them on, plus the tweeter on the 115 is awful. It's noisy to the point of rendering the amp useless. The 112 was better sounding, but still had an annoying hum and it's too quiet at only 50 watts. The Acoustic B100 sounded horrible to me, no boom in the bass, just tinny mids and treble. Avoid at all costs. The 260 mini stack is much better but if you pump it up past 60% volume the amp sounds like it's farting at you. The Rumble 75 is definitely the best of the amps I heard. Sounds fantastic, lots of boom in the bass with clear mids and highs. The headphone jack is quiet and has a clean line-in for ipods, making it perfect for bedroom practice. Plus you can turn it up loud with little loss in audio fidelity, unlike the Acoustic mini stack which falls apart. If your budget is $300 and you need an amp for bedroom use and jam sessions, this is it.

great amp

Comments about Fender Rumble 75 75W 1x12 Bass Combo Amp:

I bought this amp about 2 months ago and love it. The tones coming out really fill up a room and provide a clean smooth sound. I have yet to have any problems with buzzing or feedback. Also, I like the fact that it is small enough to be a good practice amp, but still large enough to be a good amp to use for live gigs in small venues. Id say its the perfect amp for novice players who are looking to take the next step up.

Fantastic Bass Amp!!

By rez

from VT

Comments about Fender Rumble 75 75W 1x12 Bass Combo Amp:

This amp is everything that any bass player would want from a nice medium sized combo amp! The sound that it can produce is amazing! You can dial that tone so that you get a really nice bassy clean jazz tone (as you would expect from Fender) to a really harsh metal distortion. The 4-Band EQ is awesome itۡs simpler to use and yet you can dial in the sound you really desire. Among other tone options the 'scoop' button adds this low end-ness to the tone and makes it really warm. The 'punch' button is great for slap bass; it launches off your tone and makes everything really guttural. I've owned this amp and have put it to the test. It has amplified many different types of bass and has even amplified my upright bass with no problem. Itۡs built very solid, the wedge design is a great thing to have to that you can point your sound in different environments, additionally the metal grill in front of the speaker can take a lot, Iۡve step on it before and it didnۡt even dent. I strongly recommend for any bass player just starting out or any gigging bass player that needs a sufficient amp for small venues.

Great Amp

By Bryan B.

from Livonia, MI

Comments about Fender Rumble 75 75W 1x12 Bass Combo Amp:

I was looking for a small tilt back practice amp that was easy to move around the house and up the stairs. This amp is surprisingly full sounding compared to other amps of it's size and class, but it is heavy and a bit awkward to carry Ultimately I decided on the Fender Rumble 30. It does lack some of the low end of the Fender Rumble 75, but it was an acceptable compromise for it's smaller size and weight. Just wish it had a line or tuner output like the Fender Rumble 75.

Awesome Amp

By Ryan Krebbs

from Beacon Falls, CT

Comments about Fender Rumble 75 75W 1x12 Bass Combo Amp:

Don't let the 75 watt's fool you, I'm playing in a band and the guitarists have 300 and 400 watt amps, and this thing keeps up very nicley, When I play just by myself in my room, if i set the dial to 5 it will make the pictures on the wall shake. This is a very high quality amp made by one very reliable company. The bass amp looks very nice, it is very light for it's size, when I saw it in the store I thought it was going to weigh arround 100 pounds, but it is so light that i can easily bring it up and down two flights of stairs in my house with ease. I highly recomend this to any bass player that is starting off or playing small shows.

Perfect

By ERIC RAMSEUR

from Tulsa, OK

Comments about Fender Rumble 75 75W 1x12 Bass Combo Amp:

This amp was the answer to all of my perceived "bass playing impotence." I couldn't figure out why I wasn't getting that clean thumping sound out of my old amp. This thing rocks my house and wakes up the kids from there naps on the "2" volume setting, knocks the pictures off the walls at "5" and makes me want to get a longer cable to leave the room at "10". This is great if it's just you and your bass, or even jamming with passive, or hyper drummer and a guitarist with a 300W amp. I haven't played any shows with it. I'd probably just plug it up to the P.A. and have this right in front of me on stage. This is your amp. Just waiting on my footswitch to come in and I'll be complete.
