I play bass in a praise band at church, and this amp has plenty of power to fill the dining room with the volume at about 1/3, but we obviously don't play at the high volume other events might. The amp has a nice warm tone with the EQ flat, and can be adjusted for a wide variety of other tones. Given the context I play in, I appreciate the option to turn off the red lights. Since buying the amp several months ago, I decided to take up the guitar, and was pleased that my HSS Stratocaster sounds great with this amp, although I should add that my goal is a fairly acoustic guitar sound for chords, not heavy metal solos. I wish the amp had inputs for two passive instruments, but a pedal allows me to switch between my bass and Strat. The CD-in volume isn't controlled by the amp's volume, but rather by the CD device, but since I practice through headphones in a USB instrument interface to my computer, it's a minor issue. Overall, I'm very happy with this amp.

I think that this amp is a great start, a little pricey though. The main issue i have with this amp is that, the sound quality is great, until you get over 3 on the volume nob, then everything gets really distorted and nasty. I like the mid scoop it adds quite a bit, and with the bass set to 5, treble 7, low mids at 3 or 4, and high mids at 4 or 5. Its got good tone. If you play with a hard hitting drummer, this is definitely not good for you. I played a gig, with this amp at 10 and everything put up xD TERRIBLE QUALITY! Oh and BTW this amp is terrible to haul around, at 46lbs its heavy.

I bought this amp looking for a good amp to use for small gigs and other shows like that. I have heard numerous things about this amp, and i must tell you, it is a great amp for what you pay. The amp worked fine and still works fine after having it for a year. It has great sound and is truely amazing. This amp is good for people who are just starting as a practice amp, and is great for playing shows as well

Still The Best

By Hoppuswanabe155

from where ever there is music

Comments about Fender Rumble 60 Bass Combo Amp:

This amp can get through any band pratice and small gigs which is all i do right know. It got me through the last coulple of pratices. I love the red light. My band member said it was cool. The mid boost is really great but, its also is great without it. To me this is all the watt i need for now. It's not how loud it is its how good it sounds. Defitenly Fender Quality. If you're like me and you're starting a band it can take u through it. It even improved playing supposively said from family, teacher, and friends. Thanks Fender u started me with the beginer kit now ur starting on the path to gigs.

Great Bass Amp!

By Aaron G.

from Huntington, IN

Comments about Fender Rumble 60 Bass Combo Amp:

The Fender Rumble 60 Combo Bass Amp is amazing! I play a Peavey Millennium BXP 4-String and an Ibanez GSR 200 4-String and both basses sounded really nice through the amp. The only problem I have with the amp is that if you turn up the mids or treble on it, it will get a little hissy. Even though it dosen't get as loud as I expected, it can still make your floor vibrate if loud enough. Overall, this amp is really nice for the price, not to mention it's a Fender, so you know it's got HUGE quality and the name says it all, because it really does rumble through everything!

Good amp, not the greatist.

By John

from Los Angeles

Comments about Fender Rumble 60 Bass Combo Amp:

This is a well built, good sounding amp. The price isn't too bad for what you get, it's got a great tone for the price. I've used it for a couple of small shows, it would Probably need to be miced for anything bigger but it's not quiet by any means. My Mexican P-bass sounds great through it, its got a nice rich tone, with plenty of bass. The only thing I really don't like about this amp is the stupid light at the bottom of the cabnet. I think it's completly pointless, and just wastes power. I'm not really sure why Fender even decided that it would be a good idea to put a row of LEDs on the bottom of a bass amp, I wish you could turn the light off without having to take the cabnet apart.

Nice little practice amp

By FJ

from Miami, FL

Comments about Fender Rumble 60 Bass Combo Amp:

This Fender Rumble 60 is a very nice little amp that has a great sound. It has a warm sound great for any type of music. It is not that big, so it can fit in many places. However, it is a little heavy to carry with one hand. I have used this amp with different basses from Ibanez, to Yamaha, to Fender. Every bass that I have used with it sounds very good.

Great For Beginers

By CommyRebel

from Kansas City, Mo

Comments about Fender Rumble 60 Bass Combo Amp:

I've had this great little amp for a little over two years and has never had any problems. It has a nice deep bass sound but at higher trebel situations its a little sketchy. Great at practices even with drummers as long as your up and everyone else is a reasonable volume. extremely durable. the volume is less than ideal for shows and gigs. too play with a loud group you must push it to its max(including eq) which can blow the speaker. great for beginers.

very good sound, not too loud

By Anonymous

Comments about Fender Rumble 60 Bass Combo Amp:

I have had this amp for about ten minutes. It has great features and the sound is crystal clear. It is not as loud as i would of expected for a 60w amp; my 15w peavy amp sounds louder. It's a great practice amp and has really good sound. I say buy this amp- Good for the price!

Great Amp for the Money

By ric

Comments about Fender Rumble 60 Bass Combo Amp:

First of all it is what it is 60 watt amp, Made for practice not gigging.....So there is more than enough power for that.I like the sound, and power. This amp sounds great with my schecter c-4 I would say its a great value over all, small enough to throw in your pack seat and go. Just another fine product from Fender.

I love this amp.

By Grant

from Atlanta

Comments about Fender Rumble 60 Bass Combo Amp:

This amp is great for all styles of playing and it handles bass effects equally as well as clean bass. You can get a variety of sounds out of it. I play on a (low end) Johnson J-Bass, yet it still sounds fantastic through it. I have played a friend's Rumble 100, and I would recommend spending the extra cash, the extra 40 watts really adds a lot, but you still get the same great features. By the way, there is a switch in the back to turn the red light on or off, but I usually keep it on.

Great Sound, Great Price!

By Chris from PA

from Central PA

Comments about Fender Rumble 60 Bass Combo Amp:

This amp is great! For the price you really can't beat it. It has Fender quality and for a 60 watt amp it's actually pretty loud. I can effectively p*ss off all of my neighbors with the windows closed! This amp is even usable for small gigs (usually if you're just playing inside at a local venue) and it's nice and light. Overall, this is a great amplifier.

Good for practicing

By PSU Bassman

from Zionsville PA

Comments about Fender Rumble 60 Bass Combo Amp:

This is a very good amp to have in your room in the corner which you can plug your stereo into and play along with some good tunes. However, 60 watts is not going to hold you up for a show, even with a fairly quiet band, such as the church band I was in...After about half a year the speaker would really start to distort, even with the volume only around 4/10 of the total output. If you're looking for a compact practice amp, go for this one. If you're looking to play gigs, go bigger.

Great bass amp, great sound

By Connor

from Scottsdale, Arizona

Comments about Fender Rumble 60 Bass Combo Amp:

I recently purchased my Rumble 60 and its pure gold. I can play it with my full band and can still hear it NOT miced with the guitar amp (peavy 100 watt tube stack) at 8 and the drums going as well. Great Amp for beginers as well as an at home amp for more active players. Money well spent!

For its size??? Ehhhh

By Eric

from MA

Comments about Fender Rumble 60 Bass Combo Amp:

I just recently purchased this Fender amp about a week ago. It looked like a pretty good size amp and with the name Fender i figured theres no going wrong. The rumble feature and red light make it neat for practice but theres no way this baby is going to play over the drums and when youre jamming on the higher pitched strings its going to be really hard to hear during a gig....For practice and small, traditional shows, its a winner..If youre looking to bring some loud heavy metal, this isnt the amp for you

This is a great amp

By Matt D.

from Murray, Utah

Comments about Fender Rumble 60 Bass Combo Amp:

This is my second amp, and I couldn't ask for a better one. It has a really cool light on the bottom, and mine works just fine. The equalizer works just fine, and i have no idea what the other guy was thinking. I had this amp set on 2, with bass and low mid all the way up, and my step mom came downstairs because it was shaking the whole house, and this isn't a small house people. It gets really loud after you go to 5, but from 7 to 10, it doesn't really change much. Other than that, it's a really good amp, and it's well worth the money, if you play rock.
