Having both played out of Fender Rumble 100 Combo and heard people play out of this amp I would say that it is much more than a beginner amp. The Fender Rumble 100 has an amazing tone and a full sound, good high end with an amazing low end. Not to mention that this amp helps the bass cut through into the music. I have used this amp with a Mark Hoppus Signature Series Fender, and a Fender 5-String American Jazz Bass, both of which sound amazing. I also have the Fender Bassman 400 Head and 4x10 Cab which I use for most gigs, but sometimes we don't have the space to take it along, or you are playing a smaller venue where you do not require a stack, and the Fender Rumble 100 Combo is my amp of choice then. So, for me the Fender Rumble 100 Combo fit the mold perfectly with a complete package of quality, tone, and bang for my buck.

I bought this amp at list 2 years ago and was told by sales rep it would be enough to keep up with the rest of the band. Alas,... it doesn't, although a good practice amp it just doesn't have what it takes for live shows and loud rehearsals. Woulda shoulda spent an extra couple of bucks and gone with a mesa boogie half stack, oh well, live and learn. Also, it's a pain to move around as it weighs a ton. Pared with a eq and pre-amp along with the active electronics in my bass give it a better sound but it is just not loud enough. A good amp for what it is,... I blame myself for trusting a hungry GC sales rep. as I bought it at the list of $599. It might be a deal at the sale price on line of $399.

amazing

Comments about Fender Rumble 100 Bass Combo:

I picked up the rumble a couple of days ago because my 12 watt Ibanez wasn't cutting it. I picked it up used and couldn't be happier. The low end is POWERFUL, and leaves nothing to be desired, as does the CD output jack. If you want a decently priced monster with some wattage to spare look no further. The only downside is the weight/ size of it, but if you can carry 60 lbs. than you should be fine, and if you can't than this amp wouldn't only be amazing, but it would be good for you as well.

Couldn't be happier

By Robert

from New Orleans, LA

Comments about Fender Rumble 100 Bass Combo:

I bought this amp a little over a year ago. It sounds great and is pretty loud. It kept up nicely with the rest of the band. I have since purchased a halfstack as our venues have gotten bigger, but I hung on to the Rumble. I use it at practice and still break it out at smaller gigs, and it is always on standby as a backup amp. Very happy with it. No problems. Very good, full sound. And, yes, the red lights are cool!

One of the best bass amps for the price

By Bill

from Corona,CA

Comments about Fender Rumble 100 Bass Combo:

I first Got introduced to this bass amp through my friend whom was in my band and left it in my garage for the weekend. for fun i plugged in my bass and immediately i knew i had to get this amp! the sound was amazing. the tone everything. its loud enough to hear over everything else in a band. and is rugged, it has a reasonable price for the sound and quality that you would expect from a Fender amp. overall if you are looking for a good quality amp for a great price. then get this one

Great Amp for small shows

By Mike

from Ohio

Comments about Fender Rumble 100 Bass Combo:

This amp is perfect for small to medium shows. I used it for our show with about 250 people and it was great The bass can be heard clearly even with 2 guitars, drums, and vocals going on. It is very durable too. I also use it to plug my acoustic electric guitar in and it works great!! I would recommend it to anyone looking for something that wont empty your wallet and is great for small/medium shows

The amp that fits my needs

By Kodak

from cerritos

Comments about Fender Rumble 100 Bass Combo:

i bought this amp about a year ago and so far had no problems with it. i use it with an ibanez gsr200. The Pros for this amp is: its got wheels so you wont have to suffer from back pains, its loud, i cant really tell quality wise because this is only my second amp, but comparing to my old peavey, quality is great. the line out jack lets you hook your amp up to a subwoofer, you can make a lot of tones with the eq, it can withstand long playing in high volume, the covering is very tough so its really quite hard to damage it. Now the Cons: The amp is covered in carpet so there will be a lot of stuff that get stuck into it, in my opinion, this amp is very bulky, dont put the volume and treble on max or you'll notice the smell of burning plastic haha, the amp's volume doesnt rise after the knob goes halfway, and thats it. Not a perfect amp, but it fits my needs and its well worth my money because ive had no problems with it yet.

Pretty good

By Eric

from Milwaukee

Comments about Fender Rumble 100 Bass Combo:

So after I got my bass and went to jam with my drummer friend, I realized my Fender 15 watt amp would not cut it. So I went to the store and the guy recommended this to me. It was great because I could actually hear myself in practice, however in our auditorium at school, it was barely loud enough. Also, it sounded a little thin to my ears, not the huge shaking bottom end I needed. Also, I was not cutting through with this at all. So, I would say this is a great step up from a tiny amp, but once you get better, I think you will want to step up to something with a little more volume, a few more tone options, and a better tone. A really nice amp though.

Comments about Fender Rumble 100 Bass Combo:

i got this amp for christmas and it shook my whole house with loudness, the size is great, it just seems like there is no real tone for this amp, no real over drive, or effects. i did not like it at all.

Fender is good.

Comments about Fender Rumble 100 Bass Combo:

When I bought this amp I needed it bad. We were running the bass through our PA. It was horrible. As far as I'm concerned this AMP is all you need for Medium sized shows. I've had it for 3 years and have played many shows from it. I even used it as a speaker for my computer! Good AMP!
