Overview

Many of Fenders Pure Vintage hardware and bridges are crafted where possible on the same tooling and machinery as our original-era Fender parts. Some of this original tooling has been diligently rebuilt to achieve the crisp clean construction of original vintage Fender products, though many Pure Vintage parts still retrofit several of our modern instruments and amplifiers. Whether you are personalizing, modifying or restoring, there is no better way to maintain the proud heritage and period-correct accuracy of your classic Fender instrument or amp.

Comments about Fender Pure Vintage '70s Bass Tuning Machines:

I ordered these tuners to install as an upgrade on a Squier VM PJ bass. They looked beautiful and install was going well until I got to the one mismatched bushing that stopped me in my tracks. The OD was much larger, and it was plainly unlike the other three on visual inspection. I had to pack it all up and return it to GC. The guys at the Syracuse store were very accommodating and helpful in making the return and ordering a new set for me. Hopefully the next try will work out.

GC staff gets an A for customer service. Fender gets two stars for crummy quality control.

Comments about Fender Pure Vintage '70s Bass Tuning Machines:

I just swapped necks on my old P-bass; I took the frets out of my original one as nod to Jaco, (For a first time doing major work on my bass I was very pleased with how it turned out), but over time I missed the punch that my P-bass gave when it had frets. So I ordered a new neck, and had to get tuning machines for it. When I put these on it added huge mass to the headstock and brought a tone out to my bass that I had not heard in years, not to mention the look is pure vintage. They were easy to install and immediately brought life back to it. This old bass had become something I just play once in a while, but now I haven't put it down.
