I have been using my PD250 for 3 years. It get's used often. It is easy to use and powerful. I have powered 4 live singers plus music and it performed flawlessly. It is easy to setup and transport. I've had guys with setups costing 3 times as much marvel at what my PD250 can do.
We bought it as a rehearsal P.A. and it is adequate for that. It includes almost everything you need except possibly for some delay. The way it packs up into one compact unit is nice as well.
I've used this extensively and the speakers, mixer, microphone, cables are of premium quality and have yet to let me down. I was surprised at the quality of highs, mids, & lows, this produces and at the high volume it can reproduce them at. This is primarily used for DJ'ing parties, but I have used it as the only speakers for small band gigs. Perfect for a room with 50-150 people. I keep wanting to add a powered sub to this setup but everything I use it, it seems to have enough thump and I can't seem to ever stress the system. You will spend at least double this and have to lug around three times the weight to equal the sound you will get from this system. Buy It!
I run events for a community in New Jersey and purchased this system to use for comedians and entertainers who do not provide their own sound. It will be used in a ballroom that holds about 100 people. We also plan to use it with an iPod for outdoor pool parties. The sound is much better and bigger than I expected. And no complaints on the Fender mics - they sound great. I like the fact that it all snaps together and has a storage compartment for mics and wires (though it would be better if the compartment was a tad larger). At 55 pounds, it's very manageable. Taking the speakers apart from the main unit is very simple. We built a little platform with wheels and keep the system on that so that I can move it around easily.(I'm a weak girly-girl.) Overall, a winner.
