i've been using this pedal for 10+ live shows already and it works like a charm. has a second jack on the right so you can mute your guitar's signal when you press it down. very discrete feature, which is necessary live. compared to the Boss TU-2, I think this is MUCH easier to use. Although it's slightly more work to get the battery out (you can even use a pick as a flathead screwdriver) and it's not constructed quite as well as the Boss, it performs much better. I only had to retighten the jacks once, but I think it's because they have rubber o-rings. It also has a great LED display with 2 colors, yes ONLY 2. Anymore colors than that, and you're just confusing people (i.e. Boss TU-2) Blue, you aren't in tune, Red you are and its simple and easy to use. It's also very accurate and it isn't trying to get you're tuning down to the very minute twist of a peg. A great buy at $40 too I might add, plus they've added new colors to choose from. Why not make it fun, after all, it is just a tuner, but make it individual, so nice job Fender as usual.

2006 - I have had this tuner for about a year. As far as the job it does as a tuner, it works great. Perfect tuning as far as my ears can tell and the meter doesn't jump around like many other tuners I have had. Fairly bright display that can be easily seen. That's the good news. Now the bad. My complaint is one of harware. The pedal body is made of nice strong aluminum and is really solid. The pedal portion that you step on is cheap plastic and mine pops out of the pedal almost evertime I step on it. I have relagated this pedal for home use only. On stage use is not practical. You will spend time bent over putting the plastic pedal piece back into the pedal block amost everytime you use it.

I chose the Fender PT-10 tuner because of it's ease of use ,and it's cost. Ordered it in-store and had it shipped to my house. The salesperson at Guitar Center told me I should have it in 3 days and that's when it showed up. I like the ease of use of it, just plug and play, and mostly for the fact of the silent tuning option, that routes the signal through the tuner and not the amp, for tweak tuning between songs. As always my Guitar Center shopping experience is a "treat" as we don't have one nearby, so it's worth a two -hour drive to get the lowest prices, and best deals that are out there! Thanks Guitar Center Knoxville!
I picked this up thinking there really isn't much difference when it comes to tuner pedals. Boy, was I wrong! The first thing I noticed was that the footswtich was flimsy and sticky and sometimes it would take two or three strong stomps to get it to engage or disengage. What's worse, it was NOISY as all get out. It put out what I can only describe as a sympathetic hum when it was engaged and I was tuning, but it also added a lot of noise to my signal when it was disengaged. I thought it was a weak battery, but it stayed the same when I plugged it into a 9v power supply. I took it back and ponied up the $100 for a Boss tuner and never regretted it.
My eyes are shot became my tuner of choice. In fact, that was my original criteria when I shopped for a pedal tuner. I needed to be able to see the display in spite of my eyes. What I ended up with was a reliable tuner with a simple, easy to read display. Two colors tell me everything I need to know. Blue lights are sharp and flat and the red light is in tune. The bypass output allows me two silently mute my guitar for tuning and for guitar changes and makes no audible sound at all. I use a powered pedal board, so I don't have any experience with slow battery changes and since I take care of my equipment, I do not mind the rugged plastic housing at all. I have not had one issue with this tuner and I feel really good about my purchase. Priced down the middle compared to most of the popular tuners, I feel that I made the right choice considering I could have spent a lot more for a way more complicated and more difficult to read tuner. Highly recommended.
I looked around at various other tuners and I like this one a lot! I think that you're getting a great product (Fender) and it's 1/2 the price of some of the other ones on the market. (that was a big sales point for me) I looked at some of the other reviews on here and they were all correct! It's a heavy duty tuner that will be durable enough for play... and the tuning dial doesn't bounce around when you're trying to tune your guitar. I really like the muting/pedal feature and have been very pleased with my purchase so far.
Great piece of gear. No frills. Performs as advertised. Very solid. Great bang for the buck.
This tuner is great for the money, I've looked into just about all of them out there, but this one works great. The housing looks durable, and the lights are nice and bright(no bouncing around) but the pedal is made of plastic which pops out every so often & it's not hard to pop back in place. Bottom line if you can deal with that pesky pedal popping out every so often, then buy this tuner...
Great tuner, simply said, it does its job, it will enable you to tune your guitar. Its basic, you step on it and away you go with your tuning, its made solid, and is compact, which is great bc it wont take up room on your pedal board. Best part is is that it tunes extremely well, and is much cheaper than any of the rack mount tuners or even the Boss pedal tuner. Have had no problems with it and use it just about every time i play.
This unit worked well for about 6 months of light use, although the pedal is a cheap plastic. After 6 months it started sucking the juice out of batteries like a vampire and a 9V AC adapter could not be found to supplement the power requirements. Fender doesn't make one, Planet Waves didn't have one, and the guitar stores didn't have one. I would recommend a Boss TU-2 or a Korg PitchBlack equally. They are twice as much money but you get what you pay for. Good Luck!
I have had this pedal for a few months now. At first I thought it was amazing, but then it started to fall apart. After about two weeks, the pedal came off so I bought a new one. After a couple weeks, the same thing happened. I just thought this was normal and just kept fixing it. Just a few days ago, I noticed that only two of the lights were working. I took a look inside of it and found the reason why it first started falling apart. One of the screws on the inside broke the plastic around it. I looked inside my other one and I noticed the same thing. I do not recomend that anyone buys a Fender PT-100 Pedal Tuner for any uaw other than as a circuit breaker.
I use this tuner pedals on stage when I'm playing in my church, and I am never afraid that my guitar is out of tune on the slow songs. I take a quick look after every song to check if I'm out of tune and if I am, it take me less than 15 to tune it! This pedal have very bright lights so its easy to see where your pitch is. I always feel safe when I'm using the Fender PT-100 Pedal Tuner.
