Loving that thing...

By Scott Armstrong

from Royal Oak, MI

Comments about Fender Mustang IV 150W 2x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

I tried it in the store and could not get a complete feel for the sound quality. I liked what I heard but was worried about the things I couldn't hear. After comparing it to the V head and its V412 cab (see my review on the cab,) I was sold on the IV. I fell in lust with it on the very first preset (Liquid solo) because I am a metal man at heart. Listening in the store (with a lot of other test drivers going at it) I just couldn't hear enough so I bought it on faith and hope. When I got it home I went through all the presets and only found a few that I really liked. My faith was rewarded though (and lust turned to love) when I started building my own patches from the ground up. The interface makes it easy, the FUSE software makes it even easier. I can't say I will use every one of the amp models regularly but I did enjoy all of them after tweaking to my liking. I think the solid state watts will be enough for most hobbyists and even some small gigs. Enjoy!

Amazing Value/Amazing Amp!

By Joey B

from Johnstown PA

Comments about Fender Mustang IV 150W 2x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

This amp is amazing... basically replaces ALL your pedals, and does anything you want it to. Virtually any tone you want is right there at your fingertips. I also love the fact you can plug your ipod or iphone directly into it and play along with the songs in your device. I kinda wish it had a "straight-in" clean channel that would bypass ANY modeling, but there are a ton of great sounding clean tones to chose from so it's not a big issue. You'd be hard pressed to get any more amp for less.. Get one!

You got to be kidding me

By Mark

from Ft. Worth, Tx

Comments about Fender Mustang IV 150W 2x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

So much is packed into this amp it is almost crazy. To start off you 100 preset amp models already stored and ready to be tweaked to your liking. Then there is the Fuse program that you use by hooking your computer up to the amp with the usb cable and from there the possibilities are endless, switch heads with different cabs, add pedals or play straight with no effects, anything you can think of you can do it. I found most of the setting very interesting and very easy to tweak. Plenty of clean settings with no effects and the ones that did have effects were easy to remove if you wanted too. I found the amp very user friendly even though it could seem very overwhelming at first. Also with the fuse program you can download other players setups or artist setups and store them in you setting so they will be there when you want them. Also came with a full version of Ableton Live 8 Fender Edition to record your music if you feel like doing so and amplitube Fender Edition LE. Cool thing about this amp is if your going to a gig or just a friends house you don't have to lug around your pedals and this amp is so much lighter than my 65 twin reverb. It may be solid state but once you start playing around with it you won't care.

Simply Amazing.

By Jordan Severson

from Pensacola Florida

Comments about Fender Mustang IV 150W 2x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

Some people were skeptical of buying this amp because it's not a tube amp. Don't let that hold you back. Fender, you have really outdone yourself. Not only are there 100 presets, but you can also customize each one to suit your needs. The amp is LOUD. I have the master volume on 4 and it can be heard over the drum set. Perfect amp for an amateur, perfect amp in a professional setting. You won't be disappointed. Buy it.

Great Amp!

By Izzy

from Whitinsville, MA

Comments about Fender Mustang IV 150W 2x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

This amp is amazing!!!! The sounds are awesome, though I changed some, and it is loud enough for gigs. It is pretty big and hefty, but it is worth it. The only problem I have is the fact that it has no bypass or clean channel. Now I can't plug in my RP255 effects pedal. And although it has enough sounds, I would still like to use my pedal for those sounds. That is the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Overall, it is a beautiful amp and it has great sounds and a great feel. You can just customize the sounds sooo easily and use fender fuse, and record strait to the computer! I love this amp! It's worth the extra money to go with the IV instead of the III!

So Many Great Sounds!

By Jake

from Boston, Ma.

Comments about Fender Mustang IV 150W 2x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

I was a little weary of buying this amp used but i got it in mint condition. Now, to talk about the amp. This this is LOUD. i have yet to turn it past 5 because the Celestion 80's are so powerful! Some Settings that are built in do sound a bit alike but that isn't something that cant be changed by dialing your own settings an effects to really make that channel stand out on its own. The added stomp box is another great feature. It even has a built in tuner! I am completely sold on this mustang and i wont be getting another amp for a long time! PICK THIS UP TODAY!!
