Got this as a birthday present a few months ago, and I can honestly say that I could not be more satisfied with it. Once you get past the learning curve of figuring out how all the functions work, this amp allows for limitless possiblities. The only thing missing is a loop function (which is easily solved by purchasing a loop pedal). The sound is crystal clear at low and high outputs. Extraordinary array of options and settings to create any kind of sound you are looking for. It's possible to play literally any genre of music with the number of options that are available. I love the fact that you can go in and deep edit each individual stomp-box and effect right there on the amp. The display and controls are simple and clear. It's also extremely versatile. Low volumes are still clear and are great for a "bedroom amp," the USB-out is great for home and studio recording, and with 100 watts, it's definetely loud enough to rock out smaller gigs. All in all great product that I am sure I will be using for a long, long time.

First off if your a jazz player, I am at times, run from this amp as fast as you can. It has no ability to produce a decent clean sound. Now for the rest of us, mostly rockers. I have had this amp for five days now and I am still trying to complete the programing. I have 15 hours in so far and nothing satisfactory is comming from the amp. It has a large variety of voicings, about 100, but each has to be tuned to your particular guitar and string set-up.It does have plenty of power. If you have your own pedals then this amp is a waste of your time. If you have no pedals then this amp gives you a lot. One last note this amp does not work well with loop stations.

Comments about Fender Mustang III V.2 100W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

I'm a tube guy. I still own my very first tube amp, a 1972 Fender Deluxe Reverb. It still sounds amazing.
Because I no longer take the Deluxe Reverb out, I was looking for an low watt, light weight, TUBE amp to use when I perform.
I've heard a lot of good things about these low watt tube amps available today from Blackstar, Marshall, Vox and others. None of them sounded good to my ear. Always something missing. So I started looking at larger amps, Fender Hot Rod III, Blues Deluxe, Marshall 40 Watt...
Now things are getting expensive and weighing a lot more.
One day I was in GC and the salesman suggested the Mustang. So I tried it. Glad I did. For $265 (sale price), it sounded better than any low watt, low price tube I tried. Not only did it sound better, it has 18 amp models (including the Deluxe Reverb!)
Unless you're looking at a high end tube amp, don't waste your money. The modern Solid State (SS) amps have come a long way and sound amazing close to their Tube counterpart. While I'm save up for a really good Tube amp, I'm having tons of fun with a great sounding SS amp. I use it for practice and recording (I use my Deluxe Reverb for most of my recordings).
There's still no replacing a really good Tube Amp, but for the money, This is as close as you'll get.

Comments about Fender Mustang III V.2 100W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

After several years of using VOX modeling amps I decided to see how Fender was doing in that arena. I am pretty happy with the sound and the effects available with this small unit. I have read several reviews from others that speak of difficulty in programming and comments that they are only for rock players. I couldn't disagree more. I play many kinds of material and the majority requires a warm, clean sound. Since I have a decade of experience in working with modeling amps I was able to dial in some very usable patches quite quickly. I do prefer hooking it up to my computer to do so though I tweak it directly on gigs. My only complaint is how few parameters are instantly changeable with the footpedals and the several clicks necessary to move through the patches. I bought the additional four button pedal and am using that in addition to the two button pedal which comes with.

Comments about Fender Mustang III V.2 100W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

After years of having a Peavey 40 watt in my mancave for my personal use of goofing around and trying to get interested in practicing again, I decided to upgrade my gear to this 100 watt Fender. And I'm glad I did.
The things I have learned about the new technology is really astonishing.Integrating this amp in to my home entertainment center, starting with the computer, was a bit of a challenge until I figured out how to change the settings on my sound card. I love the all natural Fender sound this amp has, and with the sound hooked through the computer to my Yamaha surround sound down here it just comes alive! The Fender FUSE is really very cool. Having control of the sound parameters on the screen is really awesome too.The third party software 'IK', was a little intimidating at first because I wasn't sure if I was ready to try this 'Home Recording' stuff yet.But soon figured out the concept behind the 'Amplitube'. I had no idea you could do these things until I started doing them.Simulating amps, stompboxes, microphones and different head configurations along with the ability to record myself through the amp to the computer, through the simulators to the speakers and sub woofer down here is just unreal.I just turned this 100 watt amp into a monster sound system.
I'm still learning to use the 'IK' software for the whole recording thing, but I have figured out that there are so many tonal possibilities with Amplitube that it should keep me interested for a long time to come.

Got this after deciding my Blues DeVille was just too heavy to lug to gigs anymore. It does everything I need and not having to worry about the pedal board anymore is a plus. It's plenty loud for bar gigs and the simulated amp and effect types are very good, but not alwyas perfect but always close enough. There are days when I miss the 4X10 growl of the DeVille but this amp fills my needs very well. I am happy to own it and would buy another

Comments about Fender Mustang III V.2 100W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

I am a school teacher and have been playing guitar for 33 years. I've played through all kinds of amplifiers. I have several high-end tube heads, combos, and pedals that I use as my primary rig. I bought the Mustang III v2 as a secondary amp to keep in my classroom at work, where I teach guitar after school. Of most importance to me was compactness/portability, tonal flexibility, and affordability. This amp really hits the mark.

Especially at this price point, the tonal flexibility is incredible and I love that can show students how versatile an electric guitar can be without have to lug a pedalboard along with me to work. High-gain tones are impressive, and the clean tones are decent, and at 100w my students and I can use this amp at school events playing on stage in our small auditorium.

Having been a tube amp guy for years I bought this amp after reading the positive reviews. They were right...this thing is awesome right out of the box, but hook it up to the computer and downloading the Fender Fuse program, this amp is amazing. You are able to get any sound you desire. The amp is rated at 100 watts and I'm sure you could use it in a small venue, but I only plan on using it strictly as a practice amp. I'm planning on getting the Fender Mustang V head and cab to match, for playing live. Get it, you will not be dissapointed.

Comments about Fender Mustang III V.2 100W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

I am returning this Mustang, not because of quality, tone, or versatility, but it is just WAY too much electronics/software for what I play (blues, jazz, classic rock). I wanted a new, affordable, clean channel amp to be sure I 'hear the wood' in my jazz playing, and this amp pretty much lives up to Fender's reputation (as in Princeton, Twin Reverb, etc.) (It is SS and not as warm or full as a tube amp. I am not surprised and so not really complaining). But, I decided, or the money, I might enjoy the on-board and off-board (software) available effects. I found the effects are VERY approximate 'models' of amps and better-box settings, at best. But, you know, you just can't put into a $330 amp the effects you might get with 10 dedicated effects pedals ($1500?). If you want to dazzle 'em at the local gig or fantasize with the band in your garage that you sound like Jimmy Page with a bank of Marshalls - well, go ahead, program your choice effects, and have some fun! But the reality is that this amp is less than $400 and it cannot match tone with higher priced SS amps, and certainly not any good 100W tube amp. But if your expectations match the price, you, too, will give the Mustang III its well-deserved 5 stars.

I have been looking for something to simplify my setup. as I am no longer a kid, I don't feel like hauling around a 60 pound amp, and setting up pedals. over the last few years, I have tried several modeling amps, including line 6, vox valvetronix, and even the v1 mustang, but they were not what I was looking for. I had a chance to try this amp out, and after about 20 minutes, I knew it was coming home with me. no "fizz" like some of the others have. easy to use-without reading the whole manual, I was editing in a few minutes. and the amp sounds are terrific. well done fender!
