OMG ! This Amp Rocks !!!!

By Jeffrey Osgood

from Woonsocket , R.I.

Comments about Fender Mustang II V.2 40W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

I just bought this today at the North Attleboro, Mass. store . I can't believe that this amp is only 200 bucks. What a helluva deal folks. I needed a new amp because my vintage 1989 Peavey bandit 112 died on me yesterday, so I figured I'd give one of these a try after hearing so much about them. I'll admit , there are so many options on here to get the sound that you want, but that is what's so fun about it. I have to say for a 40 watt combo, this sucker is plenty LOUD !!!! I can definately gig with this with my band whether it's miked or not. I'm still getting used to what the pre-sets are on this , so excuse me while I go back to having fun with this.

Really A Fantastic Amp

By Bruce Yost _

from St. Louis, MO

Comments about Fender Mustang II V.2 40W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

Wow! This amp is awesome. 40 watts is loud enough and perfect for me and the venues I play at. I have owned, at one time or another, most of the tube amp models that this has. And I must say they are either right on or as close to the tube amps as my ears can recall. It is like having 8 amps in one and that can translate to 24 amps with the turn of a knob. And the 24 effects it has is like having a pedal board with 24 effects pedals. And you can mix or match and design your own great sound. What an amp for under $200 dollars. This is a great all around amp for all styles of music. You can be whatever you want to be with this gear.

Great practice AMP and pleanty powerful for the indoors or mabey small gigs

By ryan bova

from Pittsburgh, PA

Comments about Fender Mustang II V.2 40W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

wooow great practice amp for $200 !!! i am a beginner player and bought this about a month ago. For starters I bought this amp at the robinson township store in Pittsburgh, PA. staff was great and the service is outstanding. I bought a mex SSH strat and had a decision between the Line6 and the fender . personally the Line6 is very complicated and there are alot of diffrent settings for it. this Amp has 24 presets that are loaded with he factory settings which i so far have only used half. "WARNING" if you are an old school player who lives in a box and not computer savvy you may not like this amp and may need to stick to the great fender tube amps, reason is you should connect this amp to you computer for customization of all the presets. I hightly recomend the Fender Fuse download , which is the softwear for the amp. this amp comes with a USB and when your set up connect the amp to your computer and registered online (which is totaly free). Then download the driver from the amp to your computer and then the fun begins, this is not hard it is basically plug and play. now you can chose from about 15 or 20 historical amps, including tube amps which sound great, from the fender line and a few extra non fenders(there is a hint of an Orange tube in there). you can program with the guitar pluged in through the computer probably about 1000+ diffrent preamp, reverb, distortions, fuzz, and other pedal combos all on your computer and save them to the amp. unplug and play your favorite settings and cobos you create online. the only down side is when setting your customer amps , turn the volume from the computer setting all the way up, so when you unplugg just need to use the master volume control on the amp, you will see what I mean. i have leared so much about diffrent sounds and stomp boxes from this amp program, great learning tool. there is an optional foot switch for like 20 or 30 bucks and it is not a stomp box and is kinda chincy but i am going to get it just to mess with.you can plug your Ipod with a standard AUX cable and play along with songs. and yes plug any earphone in there with no need for a 1/4 inch plug thats nice. i recomend monitoring headphone to get exact tones ask a store emp for cheap good ones. if you gig small venues (bars, cafes, very small clubs) it can fill the room. if your like touring or in a big hall you will probably have to get a tube amp or the 100 w VIII just to fill a room just because is 40w its still a combo amp may need to test awile. so its a great amp and i may get a tube amp down the road because of this amp!!! sorry for the legnth but some frownie faces out there are knocking this amp, mostly because they cant read the manual and experience all that fender has to offer on fender fuse.

Great beginner's amp

By Cameron Wright

from Eatonville, WA

Comments about Fender Mustang II V.2 40W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

I've played acoustic guitar for years. I just recently bought an electric guitar and the Mustang II amp. It's a good learning tool if you are not familiar with guitar effects. And with the right settings, it makes a great acoustic amp as well. The FUSE software is pretty cool, too. You can create and store your own effects. If you are playing on-stage, you can have different effects for each song. A good tablet computer mounted on a mic stand might be handy for this. I would like to see a "playlist" feature in FUSE.

Comments about Fender Mustang II V.2 40W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

I use my Mustang II for practice, some country gigs, and play in a worship band where we mic it up, so volume is not an issue. I don't think it would have the volume to keep up in a band setting without being mic'ed. The factory presets are TERRIBLE. Once you figure out how to program your own, you can start to get some great sounds out of it. The Fender amp models (not exactly surprising) are really good. The rest are so-so at best. Fortunately, I like the Fender sounds a lot, so it works great for me. The on-board effects sound good and keep me from having to using a bunch of pedals. If you need switch sounds a lot while playing live, you'll want to upgrade to the III or IV because they use foot switches with more buttons. (The II uses a one-button switch that only lets you select between your two favorite patches.

Comments about Fender Mustang II V.2 40W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

Great Amp. I had a Peavey VIP 1 with a 8 inch speaker and was just not happy with it. I returned it for this. What a great decision that was. The fender amp models are the best. I use the twin revereb the most and saved 3 setting for it. One clean, One with slight dirt and one very dirty. Fender Fuse makes this amp shine. limitless pedels and effects to choose from and in my opinion the only way to really get the best out of the amp.

Comments about Fender Mustang II V.2 40W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

I've owned this amp for 2 months now, and it is great provided you play to its strengths. The on-board clean sounds are definitely not the best quality of this amp. I play a lot of worship/church music so clean is a must have, and that was a letdown. However, just turning the drive knob up a bit makes a world of difference. Some of the on-board effects are quite good, although the reverbs leave much to be desired. However, the Fender Fuse software is a game changer. Unlike the actual amp, you can get some phenomenal cleans just from a laptop. This isn't an amp you're going to want as your main amp if you play a lot due to its small size and relatively low volume, but it is an absolutely fantastic practice amp, especially with fuse software. It takes pedals well, and it also can work quite well as an external speaker to listen to music off your phone at home.

Comments about Fender Mustang II V.2 40W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

I purchased this amp a week ago I thought it mite be hard to program.I was wrong with the fuse software down loaded on my lap top it was very easy to dial in the sound I wanted and the best part the amp cranks out the volume when you want it and play quit when you want it. I am very happy with this amp.
