This gear bag ROCKS

Comments about Fender Musician's Ultra Gear Bag:

I love this gear bag. Lots of pockets for accessories and room for larger items like sheet music, notebooks. Durable and looks great too. Well worth the price.

Best Bag Yet

By Jazzbo

from Chicago, IL

Comments about Fender Musician's Ultra Gear Bag:

Like many of us, we put our 'other stuff' in a bag, to drag to practice, gigs, etc. For someone with a couple of pedals (volume, wah), and perhaps three or more 'stomp boxes' and adapters, cables, cords, lights, etc...this this one works very well. The vertical design makes it 'carry' well using the shoulder strap, the compartments protects the hardware, and there's room for cords. Zippers are quality and quick and the bag is worth the extra money. What would you spend to protect your laptop? I play several mandolins and use a Schertler DYN-M pickup, and their Schertlerۡs Pre-A II pream-plifier, then th Boss tuner, volume pedal (Morley)...and for my electric mandolin, a distortion Hot Box and a Wah (Morley). Everything fits, including my cords, cables and adapters, and is protected. Killer bag...worth the money.

Not as advertised but not bad

By Patrick L. Hutchins

from Bufalo Grove, IL

Comments about Fender Musician's Ultra Gear Bag:

Whoever counted to twenty must not have taken off his/her shoes: show me twenty. I think I counted 17 twice. The center section is divided by two removable (velcro) panels that must be horizontal and must be at the velcro points, about a third and two thirds of the way up. There are zipper ports to access the two lower sections from the outside, and then the top opens for the uppermost section. The flaps have small zipper compartments and pockets. The outside flapped pocket can only be for a pack of cigarettes because there is nothing else that fits, and with the little cover over the top nothing of value would be put there - a waste of material. The strap is pretty cheap compared to even the worst gig bag and should be made a bit more supple - the shoulder pad is a joke. No wonder nobody is stocking it in stores. It will serve my purpose, which was to replace an old leather bag that has tools, cords, and misc. stuff that did not have a good way to store my wireless, but now I'll nust use both. I'm putting the wireless in the front compartment and leaving some of the less used stuff to the leather bag, which lives in the trunk of my car. As far as music, my thin 12x9 binder that I use to carry sheet music did not fit until I folded the front side down on both of the velcro dividers so I could slip it in all the way down. I short, it's not a bad bag, it has some value, I got it at a good discount, but if I'd seen it first I might not have bought it. It is not very well thought out, and certainly doesn't seem to be designed with a guitar player in mind.

Close... But...

By Mark D

Comments about Fender Musician's Ultra Gear Bag:

This is a great bag, but it was not what I was expecting. They should really call this a pedal bag instead of a gear bag and not necessarily "Ultimateۡݕ_ I was anticipating it to be a bit larger. Although, Fender has a tag on the bag that says "Effects Pedal Bag", I have a pedal board already so this bag works better for me as a place to put my strings and tech tools and a tuner. Still it's a great bag.

perfect

Comments about Fender Musician's Ultra Gear Bag:

We just got 2 of these and I love them. I was able to put my instrument and AC cords, spare cords & pedals in one bag, where I was using a tote bag and a small backpack. Easy to organize so I can find everything. You can customize them a bit by removing dividers in the main compartment if you like. Room for pens, business cards, notes, even a cellphone pocket. In the other bag we managed to fit all of our PA speaker cords (2 of which are 50 feet long), 4 mic cords, 4 mics, two more AC cords and another pedal. They seem very sturdy and well made so I anticipate them being rugged enough to handle the road. Worth the money although I do wish they had been cheaper...but worth it. The other bags available didn't really look like they'd do the job, this one does and more!

Save your money

Comments about Fender Musician's Ultra Gear Bag:

I just purchased this a week ago. When I got it home I was quite pleased with its size. Once opened I reached in to reposition the velcro shelves/made of cloth and vinyl - upon pulling them out I noticed that three of the shelves had ripped seams! I don't know about Fender value? I think Fender could have done a much better job. It might be best to stay away from this do it all case!

Awesome Toter

By GuitarManJutt

Comments about Fender Musician's Ultra Gear Bag:

Listen up all, if you're like me and carry a crap load, this is PERFECT. I keep everything in here, My cables, foot switch, amp cover, strings, even a spare strap. This thing might cost a little too much, but it is awesome. I bought it for my brother, ended up keeping it for myself. I keep all my crap in it, and it would still fit more. Thankyou again Fender!

The best bag I've ever had - hands down.

By Angelo the Happy Hoosier

from St. Louis

Comments about Fender Musician's Ultra Gear Bag:

I've been carrying a bag for twenty years. I came from the railroad where everybody carries a bag. I've tried so many different ones that I know how to look for the features. This bag has more features than Clapton's got compilations. It has a square bottom and top, but it's soft canvas. The inside has nylon covered foam dividers that can be adjusted in size to hold anything you can get in it. The back has zippered access panels to three different layers of divider compartments. The dividers can all be taken out so you have one large inner compartment. There are copartments for keys, glasses, and just about anything you might carry. Ther's also a flat inner area for sheet music/papers. Small zippered net pockets for picks, strings, etc.I carry it for a work bag, but it can hold a half dozen pedals, cables, plus all of the other small stuff you would haul to a gig.Great job in picking this one out Fender.

Used it for 3 years now

Comments about Fender Musician's Ultra Gear Bag:

I'm still looking for the perfect bag, but I've never found a better one for a working guitarist. The top compartment fits cables, straps, and even folding guitar stands. The rear compartments are configurable to fit just about any guitar effects pedal as long as it is 11 inches wide or less. Sturdy construction, doesn't collapse under its own weight.
