Great sounding and feeling guitar. Not terribly versatile, but doesn't need to be.

Comments about Fender Modern Player Telecaster Thinline Deluxe Electric Guitar:

Every revue was 5 stars. I gave it the same as I carefully looked at it out of the box. I was stunned by the wood that was used, how it was put together, and the finish. You are missing something if you don't get sunburst. Loved the solid Maple neck and the action. Out of box, perfect intonation and no buzz anywhere. Love that you can play it softly acoustically. I knew it would be mellower than a solid Tele. But I could not duplicate sounds like I heard on You-tube. No big deal. This is more my style.

Comments about Fender Modern Player Telecaster Thinline Deluxe Electric Guitar:

I really love this guitar. Decided I wanted to get a Thinline Tele and after lots of research- including among some of the much higher end models- I decided to give this Modern Player version a try. I've been really impressed and love both the feel and the sound. Only a month in, but the build quality feels great and the sound from the P90 pups is great. Incredible value for the guitar that it is. Don't be put off for a second that it's Made in China. You're getting a great instrument at a great price- and NO, I don't work for Guitar Center, Fender or anyone else :-)

Comments about Fender Modern Player Telecaster Thinline Deluxe Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar to get the dual humbucker sound. Am not disappointed. It came out of box pretty much ready to play. Had to change the strings and adjust the pick ups to my tonal preference. The neck has very nice action. I have played a 52'for several years and I find myself picking this guitar up to play more and more often. If you don't mind making a few tweeks thjs is a great guitar. Also, kudos to GC I have become a loyal customer for their great service. The finish on this product is great.

I purchased the modern player telecaster to get the dual humbucker sound I am not disappointed. A very nice guitar to play with very nice action out of the box. The finish is quite nice (black transparent maple). I have always played a 52' but I find myself picking this up more often than not. I did have to change the strings it makes a world of difference in sound and had to adjust the pick ups to get proper tonal quality . A small amount of work to get a great value in sound. I would highly recommend this guitar to any level of player who doesn't mind making a few adjustments to get the sound their after. I would also like to give kudos to GC. I have become a strong customer because of their quality service and delivery without damage. Thanks

          Wow

          By Josh

          from Southaven, MS

Comments about Fender Modern Player Telecaster Thinline Deluxe Electric Guitar:

Wow is really all I can say to this guitar. I'm by no means a gear snob, and typically play guitars in the five to eight hundred dollar range, so I can't speak for how this guitar would compete with an American fender or something of similar quality. That being said, I can say that this is probably one of the nicest guitars I've ever played, especially given it's price. The P-90's give the guitar a thick, warm sound that doesn't completely ditch the classic Tele twang and the mahogany body gives a nice full but remarkably precise tone. The lows are thick and crunchy on the bridge pick up and smooth and jazzy - if sometimes a little muddy - on the neck. The highs are where this thing really shines. I've played more than a few seven and eight hundred dollar guitars where the highs are thin and shrill, but not this beauty. Even the highest notes are clear, clean and have such a such a full body and bright shimmer that sometimes I could swear I'm playing bells. I would recommend this guitar for anyone looking to play blues, jazz, classic rock, more traditional indie rock (like The Strokes) and especially funk. It's definitely not a metal guitar, but then most metal guitars I've played aren't good for much more than metal. The construction is superb for a guitar at this price point. I used to own a MIM Telecaster that was easily more shoddily put together than this, so don't let the Made in China stamp fool you. The neck is incredibly comfortable. I can move through riffs and licks like a knife cuts through butter and the radius of the fretboard is perfect for bends, but still doesn't make it too difficult to bar. The finish is beautiful. I have the sunburst model and both the gloss and the grain of the wood is amazing. I was a little worried when I initially purchased this, but it's easily proven to be my favorite guitar. I actually have a hard time putting it down to focus on work, and if that's the only con I ever find I think I can count myself as a satisfied customer.

          Great Guitar

          By Brad Zelenka

          from Carlsbad, CA

Comments about Fender Modern Player Telecaster Thinline Deluxe Electric Guitar:

Picked this up day after Christmas and it's about all I could've asked for. The finish is spectacular, and the sound is great as well--you can get some good jazzy kinda feel out of the neck pickup, and a sweet dirty tone from the bridge. If you want a humbucker, the pickups are wired so the middle setting will buck all the hum! If you're not looking to break the bank and feel like a new guitar, this is a really good quality choice!

          I Love This Guitar

          By yosif harise

          from California

Comments about Fender Modern Player Telecaster Thinline Deluxe Electric Guitar:

The reason i really liked this particular model guitar is that the knobs are out of the way of the area which my hand likes to rest and also palm mute. I tried a Fender Stratocaster and i really didn't like how the volume knob is literally touching my hand when i'm playing. Also, I got a discount on the guitar on the memorial day savings event. So since this guitar felt right and the price was right I thought i woulld give it a shot. I took it home and its been 2 weeks. MAN IT ROCKS, sounds so much more clean then my old guitar and stays in tune for a good amount of time. It was playable right out of the box(after tuning and stretching strings). Thanks Fender and GC

          bang for your buck

          By Anthony Crowe

          from Indiana

Comments about Fender Modern Player Telecaster Thinline Deluxe Electric Guitar:

So I bought one of the modern player telecasters a couple of months ago now, and I am thoroughly pleased with it. I hadn't known about it until about a week before I decided to buy a new ax. I was eyeing the Jaguarillo, a pawn shop series from fender, but when I asked the worker there for suggestions, he said to try the modern player. So I did and it really is a beautiful guitar, very nice, clean sound, but also handles distortion well. The only real deterrent is that it seems to be a bit cheaply made, which sounds concerning at first, but it doesn't effect the performance, but its something to consider. This is such a good guitar for moderate players, its a pretty stunning guitar and sounds great. I had enough money leftover to get an amp on top of it that works well with it. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a guitar in this price range or even a little bit above.
