Near Perfect

Comments about Fender Modern Player Dimension Bass:

Wow! I got this bass at the after Christmas price of only $340, and it was almost perfect right out of the box. I like my action very low, so I might lower it just little (it is already low), but what a value! I chose mine in the white finish, because I wanted the maple neck. I am very happy that I did, because the neck and headstock are flamed maple. I don't know if all of them have the flamed maple, but the wood on mine is really beautiful and unheard of, to my knowledge, on such a reasonably-priced bass. Unplugged, the bass just rings with rich harmonics, so it feels really sweet in your hands as you play. The triple humbucker pickup has output on par with most active basses, and, although the bass does not have a tone control, you can get great tone just using the 5-position pickup coil selector knob. I have owned dozens of basses over the years, and I don't think I have ever been happier with any purchase, especially considering the price.
