First of all, I have to admit - I was skeptical about this little amp (as well as others like it); but having used it for a while: WOW! I would not have believed it if I had not heard and played through it myself (of course, I bought it). The sound is quite suprising, considering it is coming from two 2" speakers and being driven by only 1 watt. This is a GREAT practice amp, and I like the fact that it has an output jack for headphones that disables the main speakers. Distortion/overdrive is easily attained by turning the gain knob to suit your needs, the amp can run on a 9-volt battery for hours (trust me on that one), or you can connect an ac adapter to the included jack. The tilt-back rest helps prevent the amp from tipping when a cable is plugged in and makes it easier to read/use the controls. The one thing I could only ask for is a belt clip or attachment for a strap to carry it along. Overall, in a word: COOL.

First of all, you can get a much better practice amp for much cheaper and you can get a much better bigger amp for just 10 or 15 more dollars. After about a month of using it, it stopped working. Sometimes sound will come out, but when it does it sounds horrible.

I was a little skeptical buying this after having had a bad experience with a danelectro mini amp! However, I have to say that this little amp packs a punch and a sound that is like no other. The tone control provides everything from crystal clear high end to the warmth and soft jazz tone!!!! I use my line6 Pod xt with this little amp and the sound is just amazing!!! An absolute must-have for the musician on the go!
This amp has by far the best clean tone out of the mini amps that ive heard or tried. Very warm sounding, but it could be a touch louder. most others have a very cracky or overly sharp tone, but this one nails it. The overdrive isn't as versatile as it could be, which is the only reason i didn't give this thing five stars. The bass and treble are controlled with one knob, which can make it difficult to get the sound you want from the overdrive by itself. Even in the bridge pickup with the tone knobs turned all the way up, it sounds almost as though i was playing in the neck position. With a pedal, these issues are solved no problem and the overdrive is great, but lugging around a pedal kind of ruins the point of having a mini amp: to be portable. overall this is a great little amp, and youll be blown away by the clean qualiy and volume of overdrive on the amp.
The tone and gain surprised me for a 1W mini amp. Clear sound is beautiful and loud. Gain gives a quite of punch amd rock tone. One of the bests mini amps I have.
So I had had my heart set on the Fender 1957 mini twin amp for a college dorm amp, but when I tried it out at Guitar Center, the sound was disappointing. I asked to try the Marshall mini stack and this one. The Marshall was the same, but this amp shocked me. For a mini amp, it had an unbelievably clear tone. It's also very loud for its size. I think it's totally under-rated on this site. It's better AND cheaper! What more could you want?
This is a great amp. But use the kick stand or that will vibrate!!!
I have this amp, its small and really loud. The only thing i don't like is no belt clip and its kind of expensive to pay for even though i got it on sale but i would recommend it. I like the features because it looks a lot like the oldies amp. I have owned this product for about a 2 weeks and has not failed me yet but just for paying 5 bucks more, i got coverage for 2 years so if it breaks or the speakers pop or something they give me a new one for free. GET ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I recently purchased this mini amp and I was honestly surprised how well this amp sounded. I've had other mini amps in the past and I've never been satisfied with them, but this was by far the best mini amp I have used.
I got the Mini Tone-Master while i was saving up for a bigger amp. At first i loved the novelty and cuteness, and tried it out and loved the vintage sounding distortion, but at such low wattage it was hard to get anything else. The tone knob was so useless it might as well have been a dummy. Also sometimes even on full volume it would be hardly audible, so i replaced the battery but was soon experiencing other problems. I soon returned this amp.
So i bought this amp the other day and i thought it was a really good deal! Compared to a lot of other amps out there its rather cheap and still holds the features the more expensive amps have. The sound on this amp is also really nice, rocked out on mine for a few hours. Good deal!
I bought this little amp about a year ago and it is what it is a small fun amp not a serious tone threat to it's bigger brothers but a nice small easily carried amp that will fit in your guitar case. It's a cool conversation piece as well. It is loud enough to hear when practicing and it isn't bad with distortion as long as it's not turned up to loud then it just breaks up. The clean setting is not very loud but it is nice if you wnat to practice by yourself and not disrupt the family. I would recomend it for fun use and to travel with. For the money you can't ask for to much more.
