First of all, I have to admit - I was skeptical about this little amp (as well as others like it); but having used it for a while: WOW! I would not have believed it if I had not heard and played through it myself (of course, I bought it). The sound is quite suprising, considering it is coming from two 2" speakers and being driven by only 1 watt. This is a GREAT practice amp, and I like the fact that it has an output jack for headphones that disables the main speakers. Distortion/overdrive is easily attained by turning the gain knob to suit your needs, the amp can run on a 9-volt battery for hours (trust me on that one), or you can connect an ac adapter to the included jack. The tilt-back rest helps prevent the amp from tipping when a cable is plugged in and makes it easier to read/use the controls. The one thing I could only ask for is a belt clip or attachment for a strap to carry it along. Overall, in a word: COOL.

Comments about Fender Mini Tone-Master Amp:

Well i8 bought this and might i say it is not worth the money... the clean doesnt get a bit loud and if you turn the overdrive too high the amp sounds like it will explode.. also it likes to cut out when you get to loud... and the pro's for this item is probably that it looks cool...

Pretty good little amp

By Zeno the Metal Warrior

from Elk Grove Village, IL

Comments about Fender Mini Tone-Master Amp:

I got this thing for christmas, not really expecting much, but when I finally played through it, WOW! It sounds great with a distortion pedal, or on it's own. the only downside is that it doesn't have a belt clip, but overall, amazing for only being 2 watts.

Big sound, small price

By John

from Kansas City, Missouri

Comments about Fender Mini Tone-Master Amp:

I recently purchased this mini amp and I was honestly surprised how well this amp sounded. I've had other mini amps in the past and I've never been satisfied with them, but this was by far the best mini amp I have used.

Best of its kind!!! I GIVE IT 6 OUT OF 5 STARS!

By Wolf

Comments about Fender Mini Tone-Master Amp:

This product is fantastic if you do a lot of playing in different areas and you don't want to lug around a big amp. But if you don't like the "grunge" rock 'n roll then don't buy it. Because no matter how much you turn that distortion down it still sounds like that. BUT other words its a really good amp. P.S. It can be very loud or very soft. It also has a headphone jack and a DC power adapter so if you don't want to waste money buying batteries then just get an adapter. So over all this is a REALLY GOOD AMP!

I'm in disgust!

By The_Appointed_God

from Leesville, LA

Comments about Fender Mini Tone-Master Amp:

The Fender? Mini Tone-Master Amp is the worst amp I have ever used. I use it with my Bronze Warlock and all hear is static. At times I don't even here it at all. I used it with my headphone and a Fender? ElectroVolt 10 Foot Instrument Cable. It is by far the worst buy I have ever had the displeasure in participating in.

Fender mini tone-master review

By Kris

from Rockville

Comments about Fender Mini Tone-Master Amp:

I recently went to guitar center and test-drove this amp and the comparable marshal version. I have to say that this one sounds better. It has a decent sound and enough volume to hear it quite well. The reason i gave it a 3 for features is because it doesn't have a belt clip. If asked, I would recommend this to a friend. Keep in mind, this is a travel amp, and no travel amp is going to sound like a fender twin reverb.

Awesome mini amp.

By Ethan stucker

from Sandy, Utah

Comments about Fender Mini Tone-Master Amp:

So i bought this amp the other day and i thought it was a really good deal! Compared to a lot of other amps out there its rather cheap and still holds the features the more expensive amps have. The sound on this amp is also really nice, rocked out on mine for a few hours. Good deal!

Great for travel, and just about everything else!

By Capz7809

from S.I, New York

Comments about Fender Mini Tone-Master Amp:

I first got this when a close friend of my mine used it to warm up before he went out on stage. I like to travel alot about travel with my guitar. You can throw this mini amp in your suitcase and your set. Only uses one 9volt battery or can use a power supply. You can really get distorted with this amp. I told people about it and they go "yeah yeah but I bet its so low". Well guess what... Its not. You can even use headphones with it when in the car, playing at night, anything you could think of. Also its not some piece of you know what plastic, it had a very sturdy body. And its Fender so you know it's going to be a good product.

Vintage sounding fuzz, but no clean!

By Mason

from New York, NY

Comments about Fender Mini Tone-Master Amp:

I got the Mini Tone-Master while i was saving up for a bigger amp. At first i loved the novelty and cuteness, and tried it out and loved the vintage sounding distortion, but at such low wattage it was hard to get anything else. The tone knob was so useless it might as well have been a dummy. Also sometimes even on full volume it would be hardly audible, so i replaced the battery but was soon experiencing other problems. I soon returned this amp.

Comments about Fender Mini Tone-Master Amp:

The tone and gain surprised me for a 1W mini amp. Clear sound is beautiful and loud. Gain gives a quite of punch amd rock tone. One of the bests mini amps I have.

beastly amp!!

By Hugh The Rocker

from ferndale MI.

Comments about Fender Mini Tone-Master Amp:

i bought this amp about a month back and it's such a beast! it sounds awesome and looks cool! this thing has no fuzzing sound witch is good for an amp this size because if an amp this small is fuzzy you won't be able to hear it almost at all. it's so cool and cheap! if your looking for a amp that's cheaper then i would go with the "danalectro 5watt honey tone" because it's only about $30 and it works great to. i own it

Fender fun

By David Morningstar

from PA

Comments about Fender Mini Tone-Master Amp:

I bought this little amp about a year ago and it is what it is a small fun amp not a serious tone threat to it's bigger brothers but a nice small easily carried amp that will fit in your guitar case. It's a cool conversation piece as well. It is loud enough to hear when practicing and it isn't bad with distortion as long as it's not turned up to loud then it just breaks up. The clean setting is not very loud but it is nice if you wnat to practice by yourself and not disrupt the family. I would recomend it for fun use and to travel with. For the money you can't ask for to much more.

Much better than I hoped!

By Ryan Holland

from Newport News, VA

Comments about Fender Mini Tone-Master Amp:

So I had had my heart set on the Fender 1957 mini twin amp for a college dorm amp, but when I tried it out at Guitar Center, the sound was disappointing. I asked to try the Marshall mini stack and this one. The Marshall was the same, but this amp shocked me. For a mini amp, it had an unbelievably clear tone. It's also very loud for its size. I think it's totally under-rated on this site. It's better AND cheaper! What more could you want?

Amazing sound at a great price!

By Andrew Taylor

from Kuwait city, Kuwait

Comments about Fender Mini Tone-Master Amp:

I was a little skeptical buying this after having had a bad experience with a danelectro mini amp! However, I have to say that this little amp packs a punch and a sound that is like no other. The tone control provides everything from crystal clear high end to the warmth and soft jazz tone!!!! I use my line6 Pod xt with this little amp and the sound is just amazing!!! An absolute must-have for the musician on the go!

SMALL BUT SCARY!!!!!!!

By Graciela Gonzalez

from Los Angeles California

Comments about Fender Mini Tone-Master Amp:

I have this amp, its small and really loud. The only thing i don't like is no belt clip and its kind of expensive to pay for even though i got it on sale but i would recommend it. I like the features because it looks a lot like the oldies amp. I have owned this product for about a 2 weeks and has not failed me yet but just for paying 5 bucks more, i got coverage for 2 years so if it breaks or the speakers pop or something they give me a new one for free. GET ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

pretty decent amp, for the use

By Cindy Rouzer

from Chicago IL

Comments about Fender Mini Tone-Master Amp:

This amp has by far the best clean tone out of the mini amps that ive heard or tried. Very warm sounding, but it could be a touch louder. most others have a very cracky or overly sharp tone, but this one nails it. The overdrive isn't as versatile as it could be, which is the only reason i didn't give this thing five stars. The bass and treble are controlled with one knob, which can make it difficult to get the sound you want from the overdrive by itself. Even in the bridge pickup with the tone knobs turned all the way up, it sounds almost as though i was playing in the neck position. With a pedal, these issues are solved no problem and the overdrive is great, but lugging around a pedal kind of ruins the point of having a mini amp: to be portable. overall this is a great little amp, and youll be blown away by the clean qualiy and volume of overdrive on the amp.
