I've owned mine for almost a year now. When I found this one I was actually looking for a Mexican Strat that I could hotrod with Fat 50's. I was torn between the Mexican and US Standard models until the GC salesdude suggested that I give the rosewood neck a try......................

I am glad I stumbled onto this guitar. It could become one of those collector axes that everyone is searching for. It plays that nicely and sounds that good. The solid rosewood neck is AWESOME. Even if you can't afford one, you should at least pick it up at the store and jam on it a bit. It will be an experience you will never forget.

I still customized mine a bit but just small things like decked trem, pearl pickguard, mini toggle switch to turn on the bridge pup anytime. The biggest change I made was the bridge saddles. In my opinion, these bent steel saddles are useless for me. I do a lot of string bends. The bent steel saddles don't have a detent on them to keep the string sitting in the middle. So, when I bend, the string moves along the face of the saddle from set screw to set screw. It made it almost impossible to bend the string far enough to get the note I was looking for. But, after I replaced them with saddles I knew I would get along with, I have fallen in love with this guitar.

The tone is fabulous. That vintage Strat sound that so many are looking for is right here. The solid rosewood neck adds so much to the tone and sustain. I was a bit apprehensive about the longevity of the rosewood neck. Almost a year later, the neck is just a fabulous as the day I bought it. I did one slight neck adjustment about 2 months after I got it home. I haven't touched it since.

Overall, this is a really great axe. I have bought and sold numerous guitars during my professional career of 35+ years but this is one that will stay in the family. Maybe my favorite electric to play.......EVER.

I bought this guitar online and was really excited about it. When I received it, I was pleased with how visually striking it was but it was down hill from there. When I ran my hand up the neck, I nearly cut myself on the frets. The guitar was probably stored in a cold, dry warehouse and the frets sprouts were horrible. I gave the guitar some time in a more humid environment but the neck didn't hydrate. You would hope that before shipping, a basic inspection would be done on a 1.5k guitar. The other problem was a really sticky tone knob. It was stuck on 1 and took a strong positive turn (almost a click) to get it to turn. I tried to smooth it out so I could palm the tone knob but no dice. I know that every new guitar needs a little tune upbut this shouldn't have left the warehouse.

Excellent Fender guitar/Worth the price tag

Comments about Fender Limited Edition American Standard Stratocaster with Rosewood Neck Electric Guitar:

Came to my door in a large brown box. Guitar came inside a black/plasic case with Fender logo and red handle. Upon opening the case I was greeted by a heavy "paint" smell. The guitar itself looked "flawless" and was quite honestly the most beautiful guitar I have ever handled in my lifetime. Playing this guitar only extended my already overwhelming pleasure with my purchase. The tones that are echoed from this piece of wood are just "right." I typically never write online reviews for products that I purchase but this product was definetly worth the time. This guitar is most definitely worth the pice tag. In my opinion of course.

Comments about Fender Limited Edition American Standard Stratocaster with Rosewood Neck Electric Guitar:

Beautiful guitar. Walked into my GC at the right time and they just had three new strats shipped in, a custom, and the two solid rosewood limited editions, in 3 color burst and daphne blue. Ended up bringing the burst home that day. Does anyone know how many of these were made and if their value is going to increase in the next few years? Just out of curiosity. Solid rosewood, especially with the way wood is being consumed, you'd figure the value would go up in several years. Any information helps. Thank you

Comments about Fender Limited Edition American Standard Stratocaster with Rosewood Neck Electric Guitar:

So I bought myself one of these limited edition rosewood neck Stratocasters (and a maple neck one for my son) and I just have to say that now I am ruined for other guitars. This thing is incredible to play, it sounds wonderful, the action is perfect, the tone fantastic... If you are considering a guitar and can get one oh my goodness stop reading and buy it! You won't regret it. If it were your only guitar you'd be set for life... and if you have other guitars, they will be jealous because you will be playing this the most. It is a wonderful instrument and I'm very glad to own one. Highly recommended. 5+ stars.

Comments about Fender Limited Edition American Standard Stratocaster with Rosewood Neck Electric Guitar:

Look. If you're thinking about it, then you know. Just get it while you can (limited ed., you know). The neck is a revelation. It's one of the most versatile guitars I've ever owned. It reminds me a lot of my old Gibson ES-175. You can play any style of music on this guitar and it just feels right. The action is fluid and precise from the first fret to the last. Classic Strat sound too, but warmer. Oh, and the solid rosewood neck is beautiful to behold. You'll never get lost in the crowd of Strat owners out there with this one. I got the tobacco starburst, but the hot rod red is pretty cool too. Wish I had something critical to say, but sorry, . . . I'm in heaven.

Comments about Fender Limited Edition American Standard Stratocaster with Rosewood Neck Electric Guitar:

There are few instruments I've played in my +25 years of playing guitars that have actually spoke to me. First was a PRS custom 24 rosewood fretboard with mother of pearl bird inlays which cost around 4 Grand, back in the late 90's, then in the early 2000's I played on a Taylor 916 ce which would run me 6K. Now I've played on the finest Fender I've ever laid my hands on. This rosewood beauty is amazing. The finest feel and playability you'll ever have on a Fender. For someone who really didn't like Fender strats or telecasters, this instrument changed my opinion of Fender forever. The Tucson store near me had a blue telecaster with the rosewood neck which I fell in love with, but I didn't like the color. I bought this one without ever playing it but I knew the rosewood neck was the magical puzzle piece to my mystery of Fender.

The first thing you'll notice is the amazing tone, the second almost immediate thing will be how easy your hands work up and down the neck. The only thing I can say is I wish they added the cutaway neck so it was easier to hit all frets like the Elite series. The tone will keep you familiar with Fender but the warmness of the rosewood will take you to a new place musically. I play blues, jazz, metal, country - you name it, with any amp this guitar will expand your musical horizons like no other. Pick one up and play it. For me, I'll never be the same again. At under 1500, this thing is a bargain. Limited edition means it will be more than likely worth something some day - but that's not why I bought it. I also picked up a full set of Seymour Duncan Hot Rails along with it - still keeps the amazing Fender tone and gives me the drive I need for heavy distortion. I highly recommend these if you like to do any hard rock/metal sound.

I've owned it for over a month now. I wanted to wait a bit before I wrote a review to really let my emotions settle down…but they haven't :). Play it, buy it, own it - you won't regret it.

Comments about Fender Limited Edition American Standard Stratocaster with Rosewood Neck Electric Guitar:

After getting benched with an ACL reconstruction I decided to throw myself back into playing after many years off due to grad school and career. I sold my '87 MIJ Strat with a stage 1 Floyd rose looking for an American Strat with the classic Strat tone but also wanted something unique. I love rosewood necks and sun bursts, so when I found this, even way over my budget, I knew there was no other choice.

The aesthetics speak for themselves. The craftsmanship and look of the guitar are top tier. Fender nailed it.

The playability of the neck is the best I've ever experienced. The rosewood is beautiful and also levels out the tone making a very warm sound. It is fun to play, hard to put down, and it's is such a diverse guitar. The variety of tones and feels is very wide. It's been a riot to play '60s surf music, classic rock, shred licks, country twang, '80's punk, riff rock and everything in between. It voices jazz chords beautifully. Tone just jumps off this thing, and it's surprisingly warm and versatile. There are some times it can't touch, of course, but it can mimic them pretty closely. It is a go-to guitar that feels right everywhere and is simply more fun to play an others I have.

There is an intangible value to it because it's unique. There don't seem to be many of these, which I think we're only made for GC, so it has a collectible quality. Even though it's more expensive, it is unlikely to depreciate, and, if cared for, it will likely become a valuable guitar. However, I can't imagine parting wi it because it is so fun to play and sings like a Strat should.
