Comments about Fender Limited Edition American Standard Stratocaster Rosewood Fingerboard Electric Guitar:

I can't believe there are any of these left. If you're looking for an American Strat this is the one. This is a limited run special leftover from 2014. It's a 60th Anniversary model with the commemorative neckplate. This is my 6th strat. I was not even looking for a new guitar when I spotted this but I couldn't pass on this one. The butter color with the tortoise shell pickguard is just awesome. It's also my 2nd 60th Ann. model so I knew the quality to begin with. I have to say that in 2014 Fender nailed it.

Finally got my Strat... after 35 years

Comments about Fender Limited Edition American Standard Stratocaster Rosewood Fingerboard Electric Guitar:

Being a Bass player, guitars were always a secondary tool. The Strats that passed through my hands in the 70's are now worth thousands. Who knew. Fast forward... I have always wanted a Strat and finally decided it's time. I didn't want to spend a fortune, but wanted something decent. I tried the made in Mexico version and it was OK, but the sound wasn't there. I picked up the American Standard with the upgraded electronics, and there was the sound I was looking for. The 60th Anniversary and vintage white with tortoise guard brings me back to Strat's I passed on 30 years ago. I pulled the trigger and (reluctantly) had one shipped since it wasn't in the store. It arrived to my door, slightly out of tune and in excellent condition. The packaging and hardshell case fare pretty well even under FedEx conditions. For the price, this guitar is excellent, and is now my favorite. The variety of tones are crisp and responsive. The build quality is excellent and I found no flaws (and I'm picky). I have read previous stories of failing Fender quality, but I don't see that here. Well executed, nice build quality, excellent electronics, great playability, what's not to like for the price? Check one out...you won't be disappointed. (Thanks to GC for their trade-in program and excellent customer service)
