Comments about Fender Hot Rod Series Pro Junior III 15W 1x10 Tube Guitar Combo Amp:

It's light, it's loud, it sounds great. When I say loud my band mates have told me to turn down with the volume set at 2. I've played bar open mic's and jam sessions and it keeps up with all the other volumes that are jamming. For gigs put a mike in front of it and you are good to go. It works great with pedals.
I play classic rock and blues and tube amps are the only way to go. I have 3 tube amps and this is my main amp I gig with in my band, The Hallelujah Blues Band, you can check us out on the internet.

Pro Jr III in Gray Tweed

Comments about Fender Hot Rod Series Pro Junior III 15W 1x10 Tube Guitar Combo Amp:

In my humble opinion, this is one amp every guitarist should have. I had a Pro Jr I, about 5 years ago, and it sounded great, but I just had to (in my mind) get a higher wattage amp, so I sold it and tried other amps - I have had the Super Sonic 22, 60 and Twin, and a Re-issue Twin, and a Re-Issue Super Reverb, and a Vibro King, and after all that I wanted to try out this little 15 watt Pro Jr, and I am totally happy with the sound. I run a tube screamer (mini), and a delay (i haven't tried a reverb yet), and it gives me everything I need right now for rehearsal and recording. The sound I hear coming out of it is reminiscent of all the famous guitar lines you hear on so many hits - the sound is just pure and simple, clean or dirty if you want, just dial it in. Think about it, if you have a 60 watt amp through 4 10" speakers, each speaker is getting 15 watts - this Pro Jr. is just the scaled down version of a great thing. It may even be better, because you'll save your hearing - something we should all be trying to preserve. (note: this is a new review, look at the dates on those other reviews). Just get one!

        Pro Jr

        By JAMES

Comments about Fender Hot Rod Series Pro Junior III 15W 1x10 Tube Guitar Combo Amp:

This is a great gigging amp. I use a Gibson Les Paul Studio, a Boss OD and a Crybaby and I'm set. I also have a HSS Strat that I use occasionally...both sound great. I have two of these amps that I purchased used and have had NO problems. I run the tone almost wide open, and the volume around 4 or 5 and use the OD for "grit". Plenty loud and full sounding...love it!

        Blue Junior's Little Brother

Comments about Fender Hot Rod Series Pro Junior III 15W 1x10 Tube Guitar Combo Amp:

So the Blues Junior has a 12 & this has a 10 but it's killer! Why?...no bells & whistles, just a volume & tone knob so you can add whatever pedal you want & get killer effects. The Blues Junior is one of my faves because it does have a Master & Drive volumes along w/Reverb but the "bare bones" of a Pro Junior can't be beat! One of Nels Cline's favorite amps (according to what I've heard or read, I can't remember which). Also was told Jeff Beck uses this as his on stage amp that's miked or run thru the P.A. Either way, it's great for recording or a good jam on stage!

        dissapointed

        By KJB

        from Colorado Springs, CO

Comments about Fender Hot Rod Series Pro Junior III 15W 1x10 Tube Guitar Combo Amp:

I have been returning and exchanging these amps for 3 weeks to try and get one without quality or manufacturing defects, and I just returned my 5th amp. Each one has had issues that make them un-useable. From horrible hiss and buzz, to a volume knob that wont turn off the sound. This is a bad ratio of quality problems and makes me wonder about Fender quality control. Guitar Center has been great to deal with, my emails to Fender go unanswered. This would be a killer little amp if I could get one that would operate and play as it's supposed to. Good luck with yours!

        Pretty good!

        By Zach M.

Comments about Fender Hot Rod Series Pro Junior III 15W 1x10 Tube Guitar Combo Amp:

I wanted to move from solid state to tube. I was looking every amp over at Guitar center and this one was just awesome. I wish it had some sort of a master volume, but its not a problem. Nothing has gone wrong and it sounds great. It looks to be good quality. Don't think twice. Buy it now.
